THE BIRTHDAY PARTY

The ballroom for the party was large and well decorated with the chandeliers hung from the ceiling introducing a soft glow over the party, the floor was like polished marble. There was a dance floor at the center of the party, everything was perfect as soft music filled the room

there was plenty to eat, drink, eat again…there were people who could not move from eating too much and the party had barely gone anywhere

while people merrier, others played games

Gabi dressed hot and sexy in her red fitted skimpy gown,she was able to come with her dad,zac while her zac laughed aloud and gisted with frank, all she could just do was stand and watch everyone

Her eyes started to skim around to see if she would see cazorla…she began to feel anxious wondering if he came to the party

After about five minutes of looking, she decided to take a walk

She moved through the crowd trying her best not to look troubled. She kept glancing over her shoulder to see if she would find cazorla…she began to feel a sense of disappointment mixed with relief.

Then suddenly, she heard someone calls out her name

“Gabi!”

she turned back to see who it was and at that point, Time seemed to stand still as she turned only to see Sydney walking towards her and beside him was cazorla

Immediately, she felt a surge of a thousand volts sending shocking waves to her brain as caZorla’s eyes were fixed on her and her cheeks started to glow warm

There was an awkward silence between them then Sydney broke the silence…

“it’s good to see you ma and you look so astonishing”Sydney flatters as he reaches across, lifts her hand delicately, and presses his lips against her skin in a silent gesture of admiration and tenderness.

she replies with a soft giggle,”thank you, I could say the same for you”

CaZorla who is quietly raging with anger towards Sydney’s gestures clear his throat breaking what was a romantic moment

“erm…Sydney pls could you get me a drink?”He tries to control himself but gabi notices

“Alright sir, I’ll be right back” he responds as he hurriedly goes to the bar attendant

Gabi tries to start conversation but the memory of their last conversation lingered in her mind like a shadow. She hesitated, recalling CaZorla’s sharp words and the tension that had followed. Deciding it was best not to risk another misunderstanding, Gabi refrained from starting a conversation, choosing instead to enjoy the tranquil moment in silence.

A comfortable silence hung between them caZorla attempts to walk away

“Really?…you’d just walk away without saying a word to me?” Gabi breaks the deadlock

“I think it’s better we don’t talk much”caZorla snapped

sloan’s heart sank as she heard his words, she had hoped he would have had a change of mind from their last conversation

Ever since that night, they have not been had a normal conversation and she became heartbroken but she forced a smile and said,

“it’s fine, I also wanted to tell you the same”

“so if you’d excuse me, I have to meet some people” he said as he walked out

Zac stood from across the room and noticed the grumpy look

As Zac looked around the room, he couldn't help but notice the tension between Gabi and Cazorla. They were both standing at opposite ends of the room, and they seemed to be avoiding each other. He had heard that caZorla was a bit of a grump, so he figured that was the reason for the tension. But he couldn't shake the feeling that there was something more to it. He decided to try to break the ice. "Hey, guys," he said, approaching them. "How about we all try to have some fun tonight?"

“Erm…i’d love to my friend but I feel a slight headache , I wouldn’t want it to get worse so I’ll be on way way now”,caZorla tries to escape Zac

“oh!…let me take you to the hospital then” Zac suggested

CaZorla waved his hand dismissively. “No need for that, Zac. It’s just a minor headache. I’ll grab some rest and be fine in no time just let me wish Frank once more then I’ll be on my way.”he then walks away

Just as CaZorla reached Frank and exchanged a few words, Frank, noticing CaZorla’s slight discomfort, asked with a hint of worry, “Hey, everything alright? You look like you’re not feeling well.”

CaZorla nodded, offering a reassuring smile. “Just a small headache, Frank. Nothing serious. I’m heading out to get some rest.”

Frank’s concern deepened. “Do you need a ride?

“No I’m fine, I just wanted to wish you one more time before I go” CaZorla responded

“Oh thanks brother , I appreciate”,Frank replies with a warm smile as they hug and caZorla leaves

On the other hand zac still bothered about gabi and caZorla decides to open up to gabi

“Gabi, you know I’m your father, you can tell me anything, right now, I’m guessing you and caZorla are having work issues but the moment it gets out of hand , let me know, okay?”

“it’s nothing to worry about dad, we’re both fine, it’s just that we both have been working our asses off and we just need some rest” she tries to escape suspicion

“In that case I think it’s best you go home so you can rest too ,okay?”,zac said with a bit of worry

Gabi wanted to hesitate but when she noticed the worry on her old man’s face, she succumbed,

”okay I’ll get going now”

“Take care of yourself my love, if you need anything, I’m a phone call away”, zac who’s now smiling responds as he escorts his daughter to the exit and they bid farewell.
