Susan stoned in the room where the meeting was being held, making Grant flinch a little. "You left me," Susan said in anger as she hit the table looking strongly at Grant. "Point of correction, i didn't know where you were '' Grant explained in short words as he stroked his chin. Nothing feared Grant more than the anger of Susan, his mate. "I don't seem to know what bond brings us together," Susan said. "You have to understand. There are many things surrounding me," Grant said in a low tone. At this point, Killian knew that he couldn't let the Alpha be seen in his lowest. He stood up and commanded the members to leave the conference room. "Thanks," Grant said to Killian after everyone left and Killian left afterwards. "What can you say," Susan said walking closer to Grant. "I care but there are other things like getting the Elemental." Grant said. "I was lying injured in the woods for more than a week. Thanks to our healing and my strength. Do you know how long that was," Susan said, almost yelling. She couldn't bear to think of the fact that she was out alone, injured without no one and he didn't even attempt to search for her. "You were injured," Grant exclaimed. "Who did that to you?" Grant asked, looking worried. "So, now that I am back, you care about if I am dead or not. What a joke?" Susan said and Grant put on a worried face. "Dave. That son of a b***h. Next time I see him I am killing him," Susan added, responding to his initial question. "We can't let him live past this. I will make him pay," Grant said angrily. "Oh.. I see!" Susan exclaimed, chuckling a little. "Yes, you see," Grant said, also walking closer to her. He couldn't bear to see her angry and the more she glared at him in anger, the more he was saddened. "Ok, I am sorry I didn't come for you. You are a strong lead and I knew perfectly that no one was going to hurt you," Grant added, smiling. "I can't stay angry at you," Susan said, leaning on Grant's body. Susan and Grant were both ruthless and brutal but with themselves, they were broken. Their closeness was one of a kind. They pulled away after some time and stared at themselves. Grant chuckled before pulling his body away from hers. They walked out of the room heading to Grant's office. Susan and Grant sat on the porch swing, their hands entwined, as they gazed into each other's eyes. The sun was slowly setting, casting a warm glow over the landscape. It was a perfect evening, and they couldn't have asked for a better moment to reflect on what it had brought them. Grant spoke first, his voice filled with sincerity. "Susan, ever since you came into my life, everything has changed. You've brought so much joy and happiness into my world. I can't imagine my life without you.The way you lead the pack is mysterious," Susan smiled, her eyes sparkling with affection. "Grant, Your support, understanding, and unconditional love have made me a better person. I feel complete with you by my side." They shared a glance, reaffirming their commitment to each other. The conversation continued, their words flowing effortlessly, as they spoke about their dreams, hopes, and aspirations. It was filled with laughter and profound discussions, strengthening the bond between them. Meanwhile, Tom walked down the hallway of the pack's meeting hall, his steps purposeful and confident. He exuded an air of authority, as if he believed he held power over everyone, except for Alpha Grant. Killian had noticed Tom's attitude for a long time and couldn't let it go unaddressed. Stopping Tom in his tracks, Killian confronted him, his voice filled with Anger. "Tom, who do you think you are? Acting like you're the boss around here. Well, let me tell you something, you're not. The only one we answer to is Alpha Grant." "And you think I don't know that. What I know is that I don't answer you," Tom said, making Killian chuckle mischievously. "I don't see who you are to say that. You are just a running dog who doesn't have the power to do what he wants and have what he wants, so this dog goes looking for help from people who he doesnt deserve - wolves," Killiam said, taking the words slowly making sure he understands every bit of it. Tom's expression hardened as he turned to face Killian. He didn't appreciate being challenged, especially by someone younger and less experienced. "Watch your tone, Killian. I've earned my respect in this pack. Don't think you can cross me." Their voices rose, anger and tension filling the air as their argument escalated. The pack members nearby grew quiet, sensing the impending clash between the two dominant personalities. Fists clenched, muscles tensed, and without warning, the fight erupted. Tom swung a punch towards Killian, but the younger wolf skillfully dodged and retaliated with a well-placed strike to Tom's abdomen which Tom blocked its clear sound thinking noticing where the strike gets to. The sound of fists connecting echoed through the hall, mingling with grunts and groans of pain. Tom had just taken a punch on his jaw which caused blood to spill out. The fight intensified, both wolves fighting with everything they had. Alpha Grant, having sensed the brewing conflict, swiftly made his way towards the commotion. With a commanding voice, he bellowed, "Enough!" Killian and Tom immediately backed away, leaving a bruised and bloodied Tom and a triumphant Killian panting for breath. Tom's lip was split, blood slowly trickling down his chin. He glared at Killian, a mix of anger and defeat in his eyes. Grant stepped forward, his authoritative presence filling the room. "Tom, Killian, this ends now. We are a pack, a ruthless family. We should be supporting and protecting one another, not tearing each other apart. If you want to tear someone apart maybe you should find Dave and cut off his head," Grant said, this time sounding personally not concerned. Tom begrudgingly nodded, wiping the blood from his mouth. "You're right, Alpha Grant. I let my ego get the best of me. I apologise." Killian, though victorious, realised the futility of the conflict and bowed his head. "I should have approached it differently as well. I apologise too, Alpha." Grant smiled, proud of his pack members' ability to acknowledge their mistakes. "Apologies accepted. Let this be a lesson to us all. We are stronger when we work together." "We have others to kill, not ourselves. If you want all this brutal strength wasted, then use it to train the pack members," Grant said. "Tom, I didn't even know you had strength for all this," He added. The tension in the room dissipated, replaced by a renewed sense of unity. The pack members resumed their activities, reflecting on the importance of harmony and cooperation within their pack. Grant decided to gather Tom and Killian for a private conversation, wanting to address the underlying issues that had led to the altercation. In the Alpha's den, the three wolves sat in a circle, their expressions serious yet receptive. Grant spoke with a gentle yet firm tone. "Tom, Killian, it's clear that there are some unresolved conflicts between you. It's important for us to understand each other and find a way to move forward as a unified pack." Tom sighed, his gaze fixed on the ground. "Alpha Grant, I admit I've let my position within the pack cloud my judgement. I've been too focused on asserting my authority and forgot that we are a team. I apologise not just to Killian, but to the entire pack." As Tom spoke, Killian chuckled inwardly at his words that screamed Authority. Killian nodded in agreement, his eyes reflecting a newfound humility. "And I, too, let my hot-headedness take control. I should have approached Tom differently, with more respect. I apologise for escalating the situation." Grant's voice softened as he acknowledged their willingness to change. "I appreciate your honesty, both of you. It takes strength to recognize our own flaws and seek reconciliation. Remember, we are all equals in this pack, and every individual's contributions are valuable." Tom looked up, meeting Grant's gaze with a newfound humility. "Alpha Grant, I've learned my lesson. From now on, I will strive to lead with compassion and collaboration, not dominance." Killian chimed in, his voice filled with determination. "And I promise to approach conflicts with understanding and respect, seeking resolution rather than confrontation." Grant smiled, pride evident in his eyes. "I believe in both of you. The strength of our pack lies in the unity of its members. The battle we are about to fight isn't something to be done alone." With their issues addressed and a renewed sense of purpose, Tom and Killian emerged from the den, ready to rebuild the trust and camaraderie within the pack. They approached their fellow pack members with humility, offering sincere apologies and expressing their commitment to a harmonious environment.
