SELENE’S POV
I had come to realize that being hard on Lucas wasn’t going to get me anywhere with him and it wasn’t going to get me the result that I wanted. Being harsh and hard to deal with was only going to make him pay more attention to everything that I was doing and make him watch me more closely. I was going to play the part that he wanted me to play, I was going to be the i***t that he wanted me to be, the fool that he could use as he pleased. That way, I would always be on the loop with his plans and be able to use them against him. I was aware that me toning it down with him didn’t mean that he was suddenly going to trust me, however, it was going to make him think I didn’t mind being used as a weapon against Dante. After all, I was the only weapon that they had against him.
