Back in Time.

Ivy/Akal POV
I stood in front of a memory once again.
A Piece of heaven the window read.
The Walshes bookstore was dark and silent when I arrived, expected this early in the morning.
A flicker caught my attention down the street, I noticed a light on.
The 24hr diner, I strolled towards it, as the sign flickered again.
I reached the door, pushing it open, I made my way inside, a handful of people were seated inside and 2 workers leaned on the counter talking.
I made my way to empty table against a far corner, settling in I heard the squeak of shoes on lino as someone made there way over.
"Welcome, are you ready to order?" Came the joyful voice, I looked up to meet the gaze of a young girl who spoke.
The girl clammed up as I did, her entire demeanor changing.
I frowned, as she shook her head and she smiled again.
"I'm sorry.. You just look like someone I thought I knew, never mind. What can I get you?" She asked.
"I'll have a Latte with caramel and a steak rare." I replied.
Not taking the menu she offered, she nodded with a look of confusion, and left the way she'd come.
I folded my arms on top of the table and laid my head down, closing my eyes.
But all I could see was Broc with that girl..
A growl escaped me, as I shook the image from my mind.
About 20 minutes passed, and I began to wonder when I was going to get my steak, as so far I'd only received my latte.
When I heard the door chime open, and a scent hit me so fiercely it took me back 2 years before.
Whiskey, Tobacco and Earth..
I straightened instantly, as every hair on my body prickled with awareness.
He towered in front of me, solid, tall, dark and hesitant.
I swallowed my emotions, as I leaned back, craning my neck to reached his gaze with my own from where I sat.
Conrad.
Conrad POV
"I found her... I think."
Came an uninvited mindlink.
"Who this? Found who?" I asked.
"Sorry Alpha, I mean Beta." She corrected herself, that stung but it was the truth, I'd been stripped of my title, not that I shared it outside of my pack.
"It's Jess, I'm an Omega, I was relocated to Freestone to monitor for her return..Ivy's.." She finished softly.
My heart thundered inside my chest at the name.
I was no longer mad, only regretful and lost.
"Yes, Yes. Where is she?!" I began, as I stood, practically sprinting from my bed to the bathroom, for a shower, shave and shirt before I left...pants too would be recommended.
"She's just come into the diner in Freestone." She replied.
"I'll be there in 20, you'll be rewarded, keep her there.." I added before cutting the mindlink. My heart continued to thunder, seconds felt like hours.
Dressed, I barreled down the stairs of the pack house, nearly taking out Jace on the way out.
"Oi!" He yelled after me, he tried to mind-link when I didn't reply, but I blocked it, not wanting to waste a second longer as I slid into my car. Looking at it now, it had long been left neglected in the weather, despite having a perfectly good garage.
It turned over slowly and for a moment I thought it wasn''t going to start, frustrated, I gave it a few more revs and she roared to life, luck was on my side.
I peeled out of the driveway, near taking out a guard at the gate as I went, spitting gravel I headed for Freestone.
Florain Pov
I startled, as thundering footsteps were heard over head, I followed them coming from the kitchen, down the hallway and into the foyer, as I watched in astonishment as Conrad barreled into my mate Jace, with the force of a battering ram, Jace stumbled back and I rushed forward to steady him.
"Oi!" Jace called after him, I couldn't help but gape.
Long since Ivy had left, he'd been nothing but an empty shell of self-hatred and turmoil.
"Asshole.." Jace muttered, as he turned to me. "Any idea about that?" He asked me. I shook my head.
He nodded, placing a soft kiss on my temple, turning back towards the staircase.
I watched as he froze, he spun towards me once more, whispering one word.
"Ivy?" My heart thunder as he added.
"Is in Freestone.."
My eyes snapped towards the doorway that Conrad had just left through and I made to do the same.
Without a word, Jace was on my heels.
"I'm coming..." I whispered to my self. "We all are.." I added, holding a hand over my belly protectively.
Ivy/Akal POV
I sat in a state of shock.
Conrad, stood in front of me his chest heaving, looking disleveled like he'd run his hand through his hair a thousand times.
I could smell that he'd showered and shaved before he'd come but I could see that he'd been struggling recently, he's usually full face looked hollow, his two different coloured eyes were both filled with the same lost and hopeful emotion.
"Ivy.." he paused.
"Yes, Ivy's fine." I managed, before motioning for him to sit, my heart straining a little, as his eyes flashed with emotion.
He slid into the seat across from me.
We sat in silence for a long moment, neither knowing what to say, we stared at each other taking in the changes.
Conrad seemed smaller than when I'd last seen him, less intimidating.
We were both lost in our own thoughts for a long moment, before Conrad broke the silence.
Clearing his throat.
"So hi.." He said, a redness rising on his cheeks. I blinked. The absurdness of this broke me.
"Hahahah.." I laughed, struggling to regain my composure, I wiped away tears as COnrad gaped at me.
"I'm..Umm..Sorry.." I gasped, a smile forcing itself onto my face.
"I felt like I just saw a side of you, no one else ever will.." I managed with a grin, for a second I forgot everything that had transpired between us in the past, and from the gaze in Conrad's eyes so did he..
"You're still...The most beautiful creature I've ever been blessed to meet.." He whispered, his eyes widening in realization.
"Yeah.. you said that outloud.." I reply, at his embarrassment, as he began to put a wall up.. he seemed to pass and they fell once more.
