Chapter 3Four days of cleaning, hauling and sorting did put a dent in the overall clutter of the house. Dale was happy he’d pared down the contents of the bedroom he was using to just furniture and bedding and the few possessions he’d brought with him. There was a storage unit in North Carolina that held the remainder of the things he owned, stashed prior to his last deployment. He didn’t have a lot, and nothing he couldn’t do without for a while longer. As Dale stacked another batch of clothing in the back of his car, to go to Goodwill, he thought about the appointment he’d had that morning. Dr. Lisa Milton was his new shrink. He’d been to two appointments so far, and couldn’t say he was utterly thrilled by his interactions with her. She seemed far too focused on what his family thought
