CHAPTER 32 Given how early Kennedy had woken up coupled with the full day of travel, there was no reason why she shouldn’t be sound asleep. Except for the way that old goat’s yelling carried all the way to her room. She glanced at the clock. Half past ten, which meant one- thirty in East Coast time. She sighed and rolled over. The attic guest room gave her some privacy, but it was drafty and faced the barn, which probably didn’t help the noise level from that silly goat.
