CHAPTER 33 Kennedy expected to sneak past the prayer room and make her way upstairs undetected, but when she came out of the bathroom, there was Grandma Lucy in the hallway, staring at her. “I thought you might have a hard time sleeping. Won’t you come and sit with me for a spell?” Without another word, she took Kennedy’s hand and led her into her private sanctuary, some sort of converted greenhouse with glass walls on all three sides overlooking a perfectly clear night sky.
