CHAPTER 38 “Come in, come in.” Connie swung open the farmhouse door and embraced the young man with a giant hug. “Scott, this is Ian’s good friend Kennedy. Kennedy, I’d like to introduce you to Scott Phillips, who just moved to Orchard Grove from your neck of the woods.” “Actually, I’ve been here a year,” the tall man said, stepping into the farmhouse. He gave Kennedy a smile. “Nice to meet you.” Connie had already given Kennedy the abbreviated version of Scott’s entire life story.
