THE CROWN THAT HERS
---
*Chapter One – The Crown That Wasn’t Hers*
Kiara sat at the edge of the boardroom table, her heart pounding beneath her perfectly tailored suit. Today was the day—the day everything she sacrificed would finally pay off. Years of giving up her dreams, her freedom, even her voice. All for this.
Her brothers lounged at the back of the room, half-interested, as usual. None of them wanted the empire. She did. She was the one who stayed. The one who bled for it.
Her father stood at the head of the table, his expression unreadable. "Thank you all for being here. Today marks a new era for this company," he began.
Kiara sat taller, her spine straightening in pride.
Then his next words cut the air like a blade.
"The new CEO of Morrison Global will be... my son, Felix ".
Silence. Her breath caught. *Felix?* Who?
A tall, unfamiliar man stepped forward—sharp eyes, darker presence. Confidence oozed from him as if he belonged. But she had never seen him in her life.
“My son,” her father repeated, as if that explained everything.
Kiara’s world cracked. Her mother avoided her eyes. No one moved. She swallowed hard, blinked back the sting in her eyes, and stood up slowly, she said nothing, couldn't. She walked out silent and shattered. She didn't cry until she got home. And even then she promised herself... "THIS WILL BE THE LAST TIME" . They took everything now it was her turn to take it back
