Chapter 29Lina Something cold and wet touched her hand, and Lina woke with a start. “Hi, Salty,” she whispered as she stroked the coarse fur. The very same dog that had first growled at them and then ignored them last night sat next to her bed now, staring up at her. Still cocooned in the warmth of her covers, she vaguely recalled hearing excited barking earlier, but she’d been too groggy then to worry about it.
