Chapter 30 The overnight train journey was quiet and uneventful. There seemed to be very few people travelling. Maria suggested they take advantage of the opportunity to sleep and they both slumped, exhausted, into their bunks. Frank stared at the lights flicking past the window and listened to the rhythmic chug of the tracks. Jodie’s face came into his mind and he wondered what she might be doing at that moment.
