Łuptsina had always felt like she was the product of a mistaken attempt at love. Her mother was from a little reservation called the Zuni Pueblo. Her father was from Long Beach, California. Natalie, the mother, would later feel the ridicule of her relatives when they’d label him the “white city boy.” In either case, these two humans grew up in what seemed like different worlds, yet they found each other. In this finding of each other, they created four “little misfits.”Łuptsina being the eldest, followed by Regina, Skyler, and Derek. Łuptsina always wondered why she was the only one with a Zuni word for her name. The other three had “white children” names. Jeremy, her dad, said it was because she was the bright yellow spark that came about because of his love for Natalie. Natalie was a strong and sturdy independent woman, but she was soft and tender beneath all that vibrato. She had allowed herself to be loved. The love was unlike anything she had ever felt. The love's essence coursed with the chaos of a dramatically loud and powerful thunderstorm. However, once the storm settled, one would find a beautiful misty calmness.Łuptsina did not understand this type of love, and as she grew older, she began to resent it with such fervor.
