CHAPTER 9

SHRANAIA’S POV After a few weeks, everything went well until Ran and Ron started coming by every evening as usual. Honesty, I’m annoyed that I’m concerned for both my parents and myself. Even though I’m terrified, I have to be brave because they will all have to answer me when I figure out why this is happening. Sam was there once more as I entered the canteen. Joel was with her this time, though. They both gave me a hard time every time I saw them whenever where. But then, I seemingly thought about Joel of who he truly was. I remember Jenny’s mentioned name which is still confusing in my mind. I am sure that I have heard and am familiar with that name, but I can’t recall where or when I first heard it due to the passage of time. Jenny came to me as soon as she was ready to enter after I had just past them and bought what I needed. She remarked, “Shranaia, brother Eliot is telling me something,” and I furrowed my eyebrows. I asked, “What is it?” and she followed me walking out of the canteen. “He said he invited you to his dinner date with his friend and also requested if he may ask you to be his date for that night?” My forehead was furrowed, but something inside me felt like I was thrilled. When I suddenly felt a weird stare upon me, I would have said that even though I didn’t look to see who it was, I knew him. I looked around and began to feel anxious since I knew that he would definitely reappear whenever I agreed. I inhaled deeply, nodded to Jenny, who simply smiled at me, and we went out together. As we entered the room, I abruptly came to a stop when I noticed the white flower once more. That flower was giving me a terrifying fear that makes me annoyed but simplified to be more curious about who that fcking person brought me this fcking flower. “The heck?” I said, surprised, then Jenny looked at me with shock on her face. “Why? What happened? Somethings wrong?” she asked with a hint of concern. I pointed to the flower in front of us, and my hand was shaking when I pointed it. “That flower,” I mentioned, then she looked at it. “Gosh, Shranaia, it’s just a flower!” she said, annoyed. There is a reason to be wary of that flower—if only you knew what happened to me. I composed myself before avoiding it. I said, “I’m terrified of white roses.” “You never had a fear of roses, Shranaia.” “Now I have, so throw it away will you?” I begged her, and I heard how she sighed. I turned to look again, I heard the weird grin and felt the eyes on me. When Jenny grabbed me, I gripped my neck as if I were about to be attacked by fear. I took a big breath before we eventually entered, and the class began discussing a certain topic. I felt an odd feeling, but I didn’t bother trying to figure it out. Jenny and I made the decision to go take a walk after the class since there is no school tomorrow, and we also want to walk today. Even if there are chaotic individuals all around, the environment is pleasant. “Did you know earlier that I noticed that Sam looked down on you,” Jenny said, then I laughed. “That’s not new to me, and another thing is that I don’t care about her even if she curses me out of her brain,” I replied, then Jenny laughed. “You’re not really biased, are you? Besides Sam, do you remember that girl who was jealous of you because you were more beautiful than her?” She reminded me, and I laughed at the past I can’t forget. Flash Back Our class ended early, so I went to a nearby cafe to hopefully have a coffee and review for the upcoming exam. When I got to the cafe where Jenny and I often hang out, I saw Dianna looking at me, her look was so bad that she was going to bury me alive. When I got my coffee, I walked to my seat, but suddenly Dianna bumped me causing me to get scalded with hot coffee. I was so sick, then she looked at me like a gentle sheep and apologized sarcastically. “Aww... sorry... I didn’t mean…” she said, then she grinned at me. “You did,” I answered with an emphatic tone. “It’s not my fault that you’re clumsy?” she blamed me, and I laughed out loud. She nearly broke down in tears due to the heat as I opened the coffee’s lid and sprinkled some over her. I had everyone glance at me before staring at them and turning to Dianna. “Oh no, it slipped from my hands. Although that’s not much, you deserve it, girl. Considering your extremely not good attitude. Hell is hotter than that, so don’t worry. Just in case you find yourself there, I’m letting you know. Even Satan himself would embrace you, and perhaps even marry you if he want to,” I added before pulling my hair and deciding to just go home because I had lost my appetite. When I got out, I looked at Jenny who was watching the scene, then she gave me a thumbs up, and we went home together. End Of Flash Back Jenny and I laughed because then we thought of going to the bookstore first to buy a new book. When we got to the bookstore, I saw the familiar face that Jenny and I were talking about a while ago. Jenny looked at who I was looking at, then she covered her mouth and looked at me. “Did she feel that we were talking about her earlier?” Jenny suddenly asked me, then I shrugged my shoulders. “I don’t know?” I answered, then she looked at where Dianna was. It’s been a long time since we last met, but I will never forget what she did to me last time. Anyway, we entered the bookstore, then went straight to where the books were. While we were shopping, I looked up to where Dianna’s group was, and I saw Dianna's scared look on me. I smiled at her, but she just gave me an angry look. “Why do I feel like something else happened between you and Dianna besides what happened at the cafe before?” Jenny asked, then I shrugged my shoulders at her. “I didn’t remember anything,” I said, I took a book and pretended to look at it. But when I focused on the book in my hand, I had the impression that it wasn’t among those volumes. I instantly let it go, and as I turned to look at Jenny, she gave me a stern look. After being astonished by others, I glanced at the book that had fallen, and I then inspected the direction I had taken it. I shook my head and clutched my head because I was unable to tell Jenny what had happened. I took a deep breath and looked at Jenny. “What happened to you?” she asked me. “Nothing,” I just answered, then I looked at where Dianna was. They were no longer there, and I saw them leaving the store. When we made the necessary items, it was already becoming dark outside, and we also made the decision to dine at a restaurant. Jenny and I were walking when we observed a bunch of men with huge bodies, and we stopped. I caught a glimpse of Dianna's folded arms and Jenny clutching onto her in a dim nook. Jenny questioned, “What’s going on? What is Dianna?” before taking my hand. Dianna raised her eyebrows, then she looked at me. “Don’t you know anything about who your friend is Jenny?” she asked, and Jenny looked at her. “Whatever you want to convey to me, I don’t care, Dianna. Let us go before something bad happened here,” warned Jenny. Dianna didn’t hesitate, I saw how she was looking at me. She looks at her men and I look at them too. Jenny shook my hand after I had placed her behind me as I waited to see what the man would do to us. We were the only two girls among them, according to my count of five. Why she took five men solely for me beats me. Couldn’t she fight me on her own? “Dianna.” She looked at me with a silly smile. “Are you going to stop them or I’m going to stop them and shut you down, crawling to death?” I threatened her, but she laughed even more. “That is exactly the reason, Shranaia. Show who you really are in front of your precious best friend,” she said angrily, and I laughed. I started and nodded, "You want her to see who I truly am?" She pulled out her phone and started recording. "Make sure you show that to everyone because if you don't... I'll expose to everyone what kind of family you have." Jenny shook her head when she saw me getting ready as if I was about to do something awful, but I simply grinned at her and made a fist. They all started running at once when one rushed, which alarmed Jenny. I kicked a man with all of my force, bending him down and making him splash as a result. They couldn't beat me 'cause I learned to fight. At that time, I bent down then punched his jaw, and bit his tongue. I hadn’t even gotten back into shape when suddenly someone pulled my hair, I stepped on his foot hard and elbowed him then I punched him in the chest. I combed my hair before turning to face them all and grinning. “Whoa!” Jenny said in disbelief, then I looked at Dianna. “Am I beautiful there?” I asked, and she was surprised. “You are admiring me too much while watching me. I was afraid that you might like something with me, you have a crush on me, do you?” I teased her and then fixed my hair. I took her phone and looked at her phone where she was recording me. But because it was broadcast live on an application and plenty of people were watching, a smile came to my lips. I waved to them after revealing my face to them, acting as though they were my supporters. “Thank you for watching, guys. Hope you enjoy,” I said, then I gave her phone back to Dianna, and I saw her staring at what I did. Jenny and I left there after I encouraged her to go home, but we proceeded to a restaurant for dinner instead. I observed Jenny’s inability to suppress her wonder. “Gosh. What I’ve witnessed today is unreal. I had no idea you could fight,” she added, "You didn't even tell me before,” and I laughed. “You never ask me,” I answered. “You have explosives, I was still worried. Why should I look down on a Shranaia who is a warrior besides being afraid of the white rose?” she said, and we laughed together. We ordered something to eat, then I saw Ron and Ran, who were at the other table, and waved at me. Just nodding to them both, I turned to look at Jenny, who was busy with her meal. I told her that I need to the restroom. I stared at myself in the mirror as soon as I stepped into the restroom, I look at y face, and gazed into my eyes. ‘Jenny didn’t know who I am yet because I’m sure she’ll be afraid of me,’ I said with a hint of concern. ‘You can’t hide that thing forever.’ I turned to the person who spoke, then I sighed. “I know,” I answered in a sad tone. “You are her friend, and she will accept who and what you are, Shranaia,” she said, and actually she was right. “What exactly did you do here?” I ask. “We have a mission that’s why we are here. I’m leaving, be careful, Shranaia,” she said goodbye, then I nodded to her before she left. I walked back to our table after she departed, and once we had done eating, we headed home. I didn’t inquire about the visitor when Mommy mentioned they had come to see me. They are known to me, and whether I question her or not, I am aware of who they are. As I was lying in bed, I thought about what had just happened earlier. Dianna observed that exact full moon today, and she is aware that I am capable of changing my form at any time. But thankfully, it was hidden by the clouds, so Jenny didn’t see anything in my eyes earlier.
