Zheng Ran walked slowly, dressed in a pure white dress, feeling as if the vibrant atmosphere around her did not quite match her own.
She stopped for a moment, watching the crowd rush by. The sounds of engines and laughter blended into a chaotic symphony.
Person A, laughing, said, "Did you hear that new restaurant has live music tonight? We have to check it out!"
Person B replied, "Absolutely! Nothing beats unwinding after such a long week."
Zheng Ran whispered to herself, "They seem so carefree..."
She glanced towards a nearby restaurant, where soft music drifted out like a whisper. The laughter and chatter made her heart flutter slightly.
Zheng Ran thought internally, "What about me? Where do I fit in this revelry?"
As she passed through the bustling intersection, a fleeting sense of unease washed over her.
Suddenly, her expression darkened slightly, troubled by an unseen weight.
Zheng Ran, with her voice trembling, asked, "What am I missing?"
Person C, noticing her, inquired, "Are you okay? You look lost."
Zheng Ran forced a smile and responded, "Just... thinking about life and things like that."
Person C said, "Well, don’t dwell too hard. Life’s too short for that! Want to join us?"
Zheng Ran shook her head, "Thank you, but I think I need to be alone for a bit."
As she continued walking, the cacophony of the city began to fade, leaving her in a contemplative silence.
Zheng Ran walked through the busy street, her gaze drifting away from the surrounding noise.
Zheng Ran (to herself): This city feels disconnected from me. The chaos is becoming a mere backdrop... Am I truly here?
At the bus stop, she rested her chin on her hand, waiting quietly.
Zheng Ran (thinking): When will this bus arrive? Every time I stand here, it feels like my heart sinks into an endless wait... Time seems irrelevant.
Suddenly, her vision turned black, and dizziness washed over her.
Zheng Ran (in her mind): Why is this happening? It's like being tossed by a raging sea; I've completely lost my balance.
She tried to reach for a handrail, but there was nothing to grasp.
Passerby: Watch out!
As her vision blurred, she felt herself tipping forward.
Zheng Ran (internally): What's happening to me? My body is like a falling autumn leaf, uncontrollable in its descent.
Her white dress seemed striking under the streetlight, while the gasps of the crowd surged around her, yet it couldn't pierce her loneliness.
Zheng Ran (helpless): This is such a terrifying feeling... My heart races; chaos echoes in my mind.
In that instant, all sounds began to fade, leaving behind a hollow echo.
The bright streetlight illuminated her figure, casting a lonely and sorrowful shadow as people began to gather around.
Passerby 1: Quick, call an ambulance! She needs help!
Passerby 2: What's wrong with her? She looks unwell.
Zheng Ran could hear the distant voices, clear yet vague, like a dream.
Passerby 3 (anxiously dialing): Hurry! She’s going to collapse!
As her consciousness began to sink into darkness..
