THE SHOCKING REVELATION "....I was the chessboard, and she happened to be my chess piece; I needed a lady to prove my s****l orientation to my business associate, and she had to be the perfect bait for it. " Theodore's voice rang in her ears and she was frozen by the words she had heard. All along, she had thought that Theodore loved her; she stood rooted at the spot and recalled the blissful moment she had with him. She had wanted to confront him on the words he had spoken when she realized that the words he said earlier were the tip of the iceberg. "I do not care about her, she was a perfect gamble, and I knew I needed to strike at the time when it was right, guess it paid off after all" Ava could not hold back her shock "Theodore would see my vulnerable side and would overlook it; he's always my backbone in times of trouble." Remembering the words she told Mia a few years back, tears dropped down her cheeks. In him, she had found freedom and light in the dark world; if she had known that he was the devil incarnate, she would have threaded with caution anytime he crossed her. She thought that the experiences she had with Theodore were blissful ones, not knowing that fate had been playing a dangerous game with her. Ava entered the house, and her mere presence was a shock to Theodore; the phone fell from his hand as he failed to realize this. Ava could not be bothered by the thought which ran through Theodore's mind as she said "We need to talk" Theodore gulped down saliva as he listened to what she had to say "I'm pregnant," Ava said. Theodore raised his head in disbelief as he could not fathom what he had heard. He chuckled, making Ava confused, and wondered if she had spoken anything funny. Theodore brought out an envelope and handed it to her, she collected the envelope, although a bit confused about the reason that Theodore had given her an envelope. Satisfying her curiosity, she opened the envelope and brought out the letter that was in it, she was shocked by the information that was written on it. "How could this be??" Her mind reeling with questions, Theodore had been the one from that night, although she did not remember the details of that night, Ava knew that she could not be mistaken. "I had given the work of relieving yourself to someone else, as I was too busy to attend to you," Theodore said. Different thoughts ran through her mind as she was lost for words and did not know how to reply to the one who had spoken. “What’s going on?” A feminine voice resounded as a young lady was in her front looking so confused. Ava stood rooted at the spot as she was unable to comprehend the situation. “Here’s my fiancee, She cannot be traded for a less human like you,” Theodore said. Ava was dumbfounded at his words. She held back the tears that tried to escape her eyes. “A less human? Me?” Ava pondered She noticed the charming look on his face and was disgusted by it, the once charming smile that had filled her mind with so much love made her feel irritated, Ava thought that she had encountered an angel not knowing that he was a demon in human flesh. Enduring the pain in her heart, she headed to the place she knew she could find comfort and solace - Her home. She saw the lights turned on, and confusion was seen on her face; she was a loner, and as such, no one knew her apartment except Mia and the one who called himself her father. “What a bad day” Ava muttered to herself. She took a deep breath and entered the house, hoping within her heart that the one who resided in the house was not her "father". Ever since she knew her name, she and her father had been at loggerheads with each other and they had not reached a common ground. “It’s a training phase” Recalling the words that her father had said, she sighed. Taking a deep breath, she entered the house. Entering the house, she rolled her eyes as she realized the one who had entered her home, her worst nightmare - her "father" He had never supported her in her career as he felt that being a model, he had never set out time to know how his beloved "daughter" was doing so she was a little bit about his visit. She knew that his visit would not be to know how she was faring but had a hidden agenda. Goosebumps were seen on her skin as she pondered on what mission he had. His frail back was what she could see; ever since she had journeyed on this path, she and her father had not crossed, and as such, it was impossible to know what was going on with him. Although she tried not to show it, she was a little bit concerned about his well-being and hoped with her heart that he could tear down his walls and she could see his vulnerable side. This was an impossible task because the one who was her "father" had a menacing figure, and she was scared at the thought of what he could do to her if she ever dared to get close to him. His eyes scanned through her body as she crossed her hands over her tummy, Kayden had a confused look on his face as he pondered on what could make Ava so protective as this. Concern was seen evidently in his eyes as he looked at her. "Spill it out," He said. "I'm pregnant," Ava said although in a shaky voice. His expression turned from a concern one to one which was filled with anger. "The father?" He asked, his voice was cold and detached Ava kept mute as she did not know what to reply to him, Kayden was controlling his anger as he stood up from where he was and stretched his hands "The keys," He said. Ava could not hold back the tears that were running down her cheeks as she handed the house keys to him, It was his property anyway and he had the right to do whatever pleases him. With the suitcase in her hands, Ava called Mia, and as soon as the call got connected she said these words. "Don't bother searching for me, I am going on a break" She turned and looked at the house that contained her precious memory and took a deep breath before moving away. "I'll make Theodore pay, it's a promise" Ava vowed in her heart
