Rain poured heavily against the glass windows as Ariana lay helpless on the cold marble floor. Blood slowly spread beneath her body, staining her white dress crimson.
Her breathing grew weaker with every passing second.
Standing before her was the person she trusted the most — her adopted sister, Liana.
“Why…?” Ariana whispered painfully, her trembling fingers reaching forward. “I gave you everything…”
Liana smiled coldly, her eyes filled with victory instead of guilt.
“Because everything you had should have been mine,” she said calmly. “The family’s love, the inheritance… even the man who chose you.”
Ariana’s heart shattered. The fiancé she loved, the family she protected, and the adopted sister she defended and cherished like real blood had all betrayed her.
Footsteps echoed behind Liana as Ariana’s fiancé entered the room, wrapping an arm around her sister’s waist.
“We couldn’t let you live,” he said indifferently. “You were in our way.”
Tears slid down Ariana’s cheeks as realization struck her too late.
She had been nothing more than a pawn.
As darkness swallowed her vision, hatred burned fiercely within her heart.
If there was another life…
If fate gave her one more chance…
She would never be weak again.
She would take back everything.
And this time—
She would be the one who destroyed them.
Suddenly, Ariana’s eyes snapped open.
She gasped sharply, sitting upright in bed.
The room looked familiar.
Too familiar.
Her hands trembled as she stared at the calendar on the wall.
Three years before her death.
“I… came back?”
A slow smile formed on her lips.
“Good,” she whispered.
“The game begins now.”
