It had been a week since I had seen her.
I had been busy the past week-rapping in underground rap battles, playing basketball, doing all of my part-time jobs that often left me with not much time to study.
My parents weren't aware of the fact that their son was spending time producing music instead of studying; or else they'd have a stroke. My brother was though and he supported me and even though I'm not that great with expressing myself, he always knows and can read my mind.
All throughout the week, I tried so hard not to think of her but found myself thinking more and more about her.
I knew it was futile- she was a rich heiress who didn't even know that people like me even existed and here I was practically obsessing over her who I had only seen two times so far and not even talked to.
It was raining when I saw her again.
I was working- I used to be a delivery boy for a chicken restaurant, which was half an hour away from my house. It was going back to the restaurant after my last delivery for the day.
The rain had started with as a light drizzle but was soon on it's way to turn into a downpour. It was an expected, unseasonal rain. They say that-
Some people feel the rain. Others just get wet.
I used to be among the latter but after that day I have always felt the rain, as cheesy as it sounds.

I was soaking wet when I saw her.
I stopped the bike. She was standing there in the middle of a deserted green park, with her headphones on again. She was holding a transparent umbrella and dancing happily. In the rain.
No one was anywhere in sight, all must've sought refuge from the rain. She was the only one standing there.
I could hear her voice a bit more clearly today. It was heavenly, she truly had an angelic voice. Her high notes were all perfect.
'Is she a singer? She sure plays the violin, I saw her carrying it that day.' I thought.
I didn't have much classical music knowledge. She was singing yet another English song today.
'Does she like English songs?'
I had heard a few famous hip hop ones , mostly ones with raps but hadn't ever heard this one. I was half tempted to go and ask her the name of the song but decided against it because I was way too chicken for that. Moreover, she was a girl and I've always been a bit shy around them. I had never actually before properly talked to one so that was one of the reasons too.
But the main reason was that for some reason, just looking at her made my heart go crazy and beat way too much than normal.
I truly forgot that it was raining very hard, I just stood there as if in a trance, looking at her. She was twirling and dancing in the rain. She had that giddy grin on her face again and seemed as if she was free from all troubles. She seemed truly carefree in that particular moment.
As usual, I couldn't look away. She was a sight to behold. I could tell that she was one of those types who didn't care at all even if they got soaked in the rain but she was still holding the plastic umbrella over her head.
Honestly, she looked like an angel that day in her white frock, lush greenery from the garden and colorful flowers surrounding her as she sang and danced.
I don't remember exactly how many minutes I stood there in the rain, but I could tell that I had been there for a long time. I was completely soaked now, dripping even.
It was then that I heard a car pull by, that same black Mercedes. A tall man with a rather imposing figure stepped out with a black umbrella. He looked as if he was in his mid-fifties.
The man strode to where the girl was dancing and when she saw him, she stopped. That giddy smile did falter for only a second, but I caught it.
"They sent you to fetch me didn't they?" she asked him with a chuckle.
"I'm sorry Miss but I was asked to bring you back. Your mother has been waiting for you not to mention worrying about you." He replied in a curt way but I did see a hint of a smile on his face.
"Ah mother's always worrying about me." She rolled her eyes playfully.
"Miss can we go now? You know that you catch a cold easily."
'Does she? Then why was she dancing in the rain in the first place?'
"But where's the fun in that? I don't want to!" she pouted.
"Miss-" The tall man sighed loudly.
"Okay okay I'm coming! Lead the way!" She laughed. She had a beautiful laugh, just like her pretty face and melodious voice.
She twirled one last time and then followed the guy back to the car and got in.
As the car drove away, the backseat window rolled down a little and I saw a small hand stick out from it to catch rain droplets.
That day I returned back home from work with a huge smile on my face.
