SWEET BUT BITTER

It was just 5am in the morning and i can hear that queen of mine screaming out my name like i had done something. *aish, it's just 5 mum, let me get some rest at least* i shouted back in response to her yelling and screaming .*you better get up from that bed and go wash up, I mean today is your first day in one of the best school , if not the best , and you are still sleeping. No no no.I ain't gonna take you late on your first day. So move that lazy a*s of yours *she spoke with the voice that i can't say no to, because it's a sweet voice but it's her scary tone . 'whatever' i said to myself while getting up.'i better go get ready before this lady kills me ' . I was dressed in a black tummy jeans,red crop top with black Snickers and ready for school. *Mum it's just 7:30 and your telling me to go to school now*I asked, *yes baby, you need to make a good entry on your first day. And promise me darling, that you won't get into any sort of trouble, I know that , that is the only thing you are good at except dancing*' this woman just loves teasing me'. *Mum you know that ain't right, I'm also good at soccer and high jumps* I said in my defense.*that's right my princess, but you need to be good with your books*. *who needs books when i can dance and I'm good at other athletic stuffs*I smirked.*well my baby needs to be good at that to. So stand up princess, it's time to leave* she said while getting up.*muuuummm* I grumbled.*move it baby*. We had already left home and mum had finally agreed to branch to some places before heading to my new school.*mum mum mum, stop here*. *What is it baby*mum said parking the car beside the road.*wonderland*I said with excitement, wonderland is my best eatery.i love their ice cream and it was one of the places i wanted to branch to before i head to school. *Oh baby , you scared me* she said resting her head on the car wheel. *I'm so sorry mum,but i need to have their ice cream before i reach school * i said coming down from the car . *Get me staw Berry and banana flavor, mixed * she said while handing some cash to me .*thanks mum* I said smiling and moving back. The thought of the ice cream made me forget myself.i saw mum shouting something but i couldn't guess what it was ,oh well i will answer her when i get back . suddenly i heard some voices shouting"get out", but i couldn't get why they where shouting that, till i found out that i was right in the middle of the road and a big truck was heading my way , my eyes opened wide , I frozed up,i just didn't know what to do, 'i guess this is my good bye to the world' I said while my eyes where closed. Just then i felt someone grabbing me , like i was a piece of paper, i didn't know who it was but i was about to die and that's all i cared about, or maybe it was the angels taking me away from earth . *Hey ,hey miss* i felt someone hitting my forehead.*huh, I'm alive*i quickly opened my eyes and saw a guy with cherry lips but i couldn't see his face well, I just saw his lips moving.*yes you are alive.and who taught you how to cross the road, people like you shouldn't be allowed to cross the road. What if you had died, where was your brain, does it even function well*was he shouting at me, the last word i heard was "where was your brain, does it even function well" that got me mad "hey mi..., excuse me" before i could even give him a piece of my mind, people had covered me asking if i was fine and my mum caught my attention because she was already crying,'aish , who does he think he is',*my baby,are you ok , how could you think of leaving me in this world all alone*she said while sobbing. *Hey mum ,why are you crying*I said while whipping her tears off her face .*you know your all i got, so i will never think of leaving my queen alone in this wicked world, I'm so sorry mum, I promise not to make you cry again. I love you*I hugged her .*I love you too baby, I love you so much my princess*mum said .*do you know what will make you happy*I asked. *What is that baby*. *Well wonderland ice cream*I released her.*that's true* she said. Many people had left the scene but one old woman was waiting for use to stop our drama. And before i could move,i felt a knock on my head.*ouch*I was in pains, I don't know if it was her hand or a stick she used, but it was really painful.*you my child deserve more than a knock , you deserve a beating*she said with anger.*hey , don't touch my child* mum tried supporting me but she was also given a heavy knock on her head.*ouch, hey that's painful*.*how could you get your daughter for her carelessness*the woman added. Well that was right.*you know what, your punishment will be that you won't be able to enter wonderland*she said.*says who*mum said. *Said by me, Lucia*. I guess that's her name. *Well I'm miss levando and i will get what i want*my mum said storming out, heading to the eatery and the old woman made a call, i was just in the middle. Suddenly my mum came back without an ice cream in her hand.*who are you*mum asked. *Well if you want an ice cream, send your daughter to come to wonderland after school ,with an apology letter on your behalf and her apology letter.then i will let you get what you want for free and also tell you whom i am*the woman said and left.*well that was creepy. And mum how I'm i going to write two letters*i asked.*baby ask someone to help you out, i really want to know who that woman is*. *Ok mum* . We went back to the car and headed to school.my mum went to the principal's office while i was excorted by a teacher to my new class.
