Welcome To Starian

Once I opened my eyes, I saw the most beautiful place I have ever seen. Everything was sparkly and all the plants were different shades of blue and white and when you looked up to the sky it was full of the most beautiful stars out. Once I finished looking around at everything Leo said, “welcome to Starian Dimples.” I then said, “Starian is the most beautiful place I have ever seen Speckles.” Leo then said, “I will show you around more later first we should go to the palace so I can introduce you to Queen Galaxia.” Meanwhile back at planet Earth dad and Leah were in the kitchen waiting for me to come home. Hours had passed and dad said, “I have bad feeling that something has happened.”

Leah then said, “well then you try calling her and I will go and see if I can find her.” As Leah was about to walk out the front door, she found the letter sitting on the floor and so she took it into the kitchen and said, “I just found this on the floor.” She then passed the letter to dad, and he said, “this is Luna’s handwriting.” He quickly opened the envelope and he pulled out the letter. Once he unfolded the letter, he started reading it out loud, “Dear dad and Leah, I know you are expecting me back at the house, but something has happened. So, Leo and I have left town and I’m not sure when we will be coming back. I know that you two would have wanted me to ask you for help, but this is something only Leo and I must work out for ourselves.

I wish I could have said goodbye in person but if I did it would have just been that much harder for me to leave, and I don’t know how long we will be gone for but just know that I love you both so much and I will miss you until we meet again Luna.” Meanwhile Leo and I have arrived at the palace and as soon as we were about to walk through the gates the two guards stopped us and said, “halt do you have an appointment?” Leo then said, “we don’t have an appointment, but this is urgent.” As we went to go further the guards grabbed us and said, “sorry but you can’t go in there.” Leo then said, “we need to speak to the queen!” One of the guards then grabbed Leo and he said, “well if you aren’t going to leave by yourself then we will make you move.”

As he started to drag him away, I said, “wait stop!” The guard that was left to guard the gates then said, “so the girl speaks.” I then said, “stop what you are doing.” The guard holding Leo then said, “and who do you think you are?” I then said, “I’m the granddaughter of the queen.” Both guards started laughing and the one at the gate said, “yeah and I’m the king of Starian.” I then showed them my arm and I said, “does this look familiar?” Both guards stood there in shock, and they said, “we are so sorry your majesty we will take you to the Queen now.” So, we followed them both into the throne room and once we got there a lady with her back turned away from us said, “I thought I asked you not to interrupt when I’m in a meeting.”

I then said, “we are so sorry, but I made them take us to you.” Suddenly she turned around and she had a big smile on her face, and she said, “welcome home child.” One of the lords that were in the meeting then said, “can we get back to this meeting?” Queen Galaxia then said, “we will reschedule this meeting for another day.” He then said, “but your majesty this is my time with you.” Queen Galaxia then said, “yes but that was before my granddaughter had returned to us.” He then looked at me and back to Queen Galaxia and he said, “I am so sorry your majesties I will take my leave now.” Once they were gone Queen Galaxia then said, “Leo I should be angry with you for bringing her here but I’m just so happy to finally meet her.” I then said, “your majesty please don’t blame him I figured it out by myself.”

She then laughed and said, “you my starling are smart but there must be a reason why you came all this way and please just call me Galaxia.” I then said, “well yes I have some questions to ask you.” Leo then said, “I’m sorry to interrupt but I just wanted to remind Dimples that we had an urgent question for you.” Queen Galaxia then started laughing and said, “well what is this urgent question that you and Dimples have for me.” I then said, “I’m so sorry Galaxia but only Leo is allowed to call me that.” She then said, “I’m so sorry I didn’t know.” Leo then said, “that’s fine but our question is we want to know why when Luna and I kissed we felt this powerful surge shoot out.” Queen Galaxia then had the biggest smile on her face, and she said, “well you two are soulmates.”

I then said, “I’m sorry but what does this have to do with being soulmates?” Queen Galaxia then said, “well usually we have a class about this when your older because this is rare. But when two people who are soulmates meet each other and they both have the same feelings when they share their first kiss their magic grows stronger because of their love for one another.” I then said, “so, I have powers.” Queen Galaxia then said, “yes starling you do usually once you find your soulmate you have a stardding but since you are new to this, we are going to have to teach you how to activate and use your powers but first we need to have your staranation.” I then said, “what’s a stardding and a staranation?” Leo then said, “it’s a wedding and a staranation is when you are showed as royalty to all of Starian.”

I then said, “wait what about my questions?” Queen Galaxia then said, “I will answer your questions after we have your staranation.” I then said, “ok fine.” Queen Galaxia then said, “Luna, Leo follow me.” So, we followed her, and we stopped inside of a big dressing room. She then said, “Leo stay here, and I will have someone in to bring you a suit.” Leo then said, “ok but why do I need a suit?”

She then said, “because since you both can’t get married, yet we are going to give you both somewhat of what you would call on Earth and engagement.” I then said, “wait can Leo and I talk about this?” She then looked at me and sighed and said, “you have five minutes to decide.” I then said, “thank you.” She then left and I said, “Leo what are you thinking?”

He then said, “I’m thinking that this is a big thing.” I then said, “but this is Starian tradition, isn’t it?” He then sighed and said, “yes but just because it is it doesn’t mean we have to go ahead with it right away.” I then said, “but it won’t be right away because it’s going to take me a while to learn how to active and control my powers.” He then said, “that’s true but we are still young.”

I then said, “I know but like what Galaxia said, “we are soulmates so why wait?” He then smiled and he said, “I want nothing more than for you to be my wife so, what the hell we only live once and so I don’t want to waste any more time.” I then smiled and I walked up and kissed him, and I said, “I love you Speckles.” He then said, “I love you too Dimples.” Queen Galaxia then walked in and said, “have you made your decision?”

We both then smiled at each other, and I said, “we will do it.” She then smiled and said, “very good and with that said, Leo since I know that Luna is part human, I wanted to corporate their traditions with ours and so here is an engagement ring I hope you both like it.” As Leo was about to say something he caught me admiring the ring and so he smiled and said, “it’s perfect thank you.” She then said, “well that’s good so, after we Starinate you Luna I will then say a few things and Leo will then propose to you in front of everyone.” I then said, “no pressure or anything.” Queen Galaxia then said, “well now that that’s covered up follow me Luna and Leo the tailor with your suit shall be here in a minute.” So, before I even had the chance to say goodbye to Leo, she had already left the room.

A few minutes later we finally arrived at a different room where there were two people already waiting for us. Suddenly the guy that had bobby pins in his hand came up to me and said, “it’s so nice to finally meet you your majesty my name is Garett and that is Zoe.” I then said, “it’s nice to meet you too.” Queen Galaxia then said, “do you have the dress?” Garett then said, “of course my queen.”He then took out a beautiful dress that looked like it came out of the sky. Queen Galaxia then said, “I wore this dress when I was made Queen and now, I want you to wear it tonight when the rest of Starian recognizes you as royalty.” I then said, “thank you so much.” She then smiled and said, “I was hoping that the day you came back home would be with your mother, but I know that she is watching you right now and is proud to call you, her daughter.”

I then smiled at her and said, “thank you.” Garett then said, “well how about we get you into this dress.” Queen Galaxia then said, “I will be back to get you when you are ready.” She then left and Garett then said, “don’t worry I’ll take good care of you and also I want to apologise about the way my husband grabbed your soulmate.” I then smiled and I said, “you have nothing to apologise for he was just doing his job.” Garett then smiled at me and helped me into my dress. He then said, “stand still for just a minute while I make some adjustments to your dress.” So, for the next couple of minutes Garett fixed my dress and once he was finished, he said, “I believe that my work here is done, and I will start finding some new materials for you Stardding dress.” I then smiled and said, “thank you so much.”

Garett then said, “you are very welcome.” Zoe then came up to me and said, “like Garett already said my name is Zoe and I am here to do your hair and makeup.” I then said, “it is nice to meet you.” She then said, “and same with you your majesty." She then sat me down in a chair and started doing my hair and makeup. Half an hour later we were finally finished, and she said, “with this hairdo the people will love you even more.” I then smiled and said, “thank you.” Suddenly Queen Galaxia and Leo came in and Leo said, “you look gorgeous Dimples.” I then winked at him and said, “you don’t look to bad yourself.” Queen Galaxia then said, “Zoe and Garett outdone themselves are you ready my starling everyone including Leos family is here.” Leo then said, “my family is here.”

She then said, “yes well I thought that you would like them to be here in person to see you and Luna get engaged.” I then said, “that was very generous of you.” She then smiled at us, and she said, “ok now come we have a ceremony to get to.” So, we then followed her, and we stopped just outside the cathedral, and she said, “Luna you wait here with the guards and when it’s time for you to come in the guards will escort you in.” Her and Leo then walked inside, and she said, “hello everyone thank you for being here for this momentous day.” Everyone then started cheering and as soon as she put her hand up, they stopped and she said, “as you all know my first-born daughter has recently left us for the stars above but today, we celebrate the return of her daughter my granddaughter princess Luna!”

Everyone then started cheering again and that was when she said, “everyone please rise for her entrance.” I then was escorted inside, and all eyes were on me as I walked up to my grandmother. As I reached her the cheering stopped and she said, “princess Luna do you promise that if a fellow Starian needs help that you will help them.” “I do.” “do you promise that even when you leave to go back to Earth that if you see a fellow Starian there that you will help.” “I do.” She then said, “well by the power invested in me by being the queen I now pronounce you finally seen as the lost princess of our people.” Everyone then started clapping and once the claps died down, she then said, “now since my princess Luna hasn’t learned how to use her powers but has found her soulmate, I thought that to show that they are still going ahead with our traditions that I would bring one of the human traditions into our world so please Leo Galaxy join us.”

Leo then walked up to us, and he grabs my hands as he knelt and he says, “Dimples my love since I have known you, you have been a force to be reckoned with and each and every day that I spend with you I fall more and more in love with you so Luna Johnson will you marry me?” I then smiled with tears in my eyes, and I said, “of course I will marry you, Leo Galaxy.” As soon as I said yes, he slipped the ring onto my finger and kissed me. Queen Galaxia then said, “thank you everyone for being here today but now if you can excuse us, we have to take our leave.” So, Leo and I followed her into a private room where there were people waiting for us to arrive. Queen Galaxia then said, “if you both shall follow me, I want to introduce you to the rest of the royal family.”

So, we followed her to a group of people on the far side of the room. She then said, “Luna and Leo this is my son prince Godfrey and his two kids prince Nikolai and his younger sister princess Xenia.” Nikolai then said, “it is finally nice to meet you, Luna.” Xenia then said, “we have both been waiting for this moment since we were little.” I then said, “it’s nice to meet you both I hope we will be able to get to know each other better.” Queen Galaxia then said, “Godfrey don’t be rude.” Godfrey then said, “well why have you returned after all of this time are you here to take the throne from me and my kids?” I then said, “of course not I just wanted to get to know my culture and to meet my family.” Leo then said, “Luna wants to become an astrophysicist once she finishes school.”

I then said, “that’s if we go back to Earth any time soon.” Nikolai then said, “don’t worry about my father he is like this with everyone.” I then said, “what about your mother?” Xenia then said, “mother is away visiting her home planet.” I then said, “so your only half Starian.” Nikolai then said, “that’s right our mother is from the moon realm.” Leo then said, “I’ve heard how beautiful it is over there.” Godfrey suddenly had a smile on his face, and he said, “yes, it is especially when I met my wife Rania.” Xenia then said, “our mother is also the fourth born heir to the throne of the realm.” I then said, “so you have royal lineage on both sides.” Nikolai then said, “yes we do but we are more royal on fathers’ side.”

Queen Galaxia then said, “well we all should mingle with the other guest and then once the after party is over then I will answer your questions, Luna.” We all then said our goodbyes to each other. Leo then said, “Dimples there’s some people that I want you to meet.” So, I grabbed his hand and he guided me to what looks like his family. Leo then said, “Luna I want to introduce you to my family you have already met Nova and Sally, but this is my younger brother Caster.” Suddenly an older man walked up to us, and he said, “and I’m Orion Leo’s father it is very nice to finally meet you your majesty.” Leo then said, “dad I thought that you were still at the hospital.” Orion then said, “I was but I am feeling much better now, and I wanted to be here for you both.”

I then said, “it’s nice to meet you all too but please just call me Luna.” Caster then said, “well it’s nice to meet you in person instead of Leo showing us pictures on his phone.” I then smiled and said, “he has told me a lot about you also Speckles don’t you find it weird that Leah and dad haven’t tried contacting me? Leo then said, “oh I forgot phones don’t work here unless you get it cleared with the Queen.” I then said, “that makes sense.” Nova then said, “when I told you to stay with Luna for a few days I didn’t think that you would bring Luna here.” I then laughed and said, “well I figured out that this was place before he even told me.” Orion then laughed and said, “your one smart girl and I think Nova needs to tell you what she done without us knowing.” Nova then said, “maybe when we aren’t at a party.”

Sally then said, “Nova and I went and got eloped.” I then smiled and said, “congratulations.” Leo then laughed and said, “it’s about time.” Nova then said, “I thought that you would have been mad.” Leo then said, “of course not all I want is for everyone to be happy.” A few hours later the party had finally finished and Queen Galaxia, Leo and I were all sitting in her meeting room. She then said, “so what are your questions?” I then said, “why did you leave mum with her father for?” She then said, “well as you might already know one of our ancestors fell in love with a human and she fell pregnant with a son which her best friend and the Starian she was betrothed to choose to raise him as his own and I wanted my daughter to be raised by her father instead so she could be happier.”

I then said, “but she ended up having no one except for her aunt and me.” Queen Galaxia then said, “I did what I thought was best at the time.” I then said, “wait does that mean he had an affair on his wife.” She then said, “yes but when she told me she couldn’t have kids I knew that it was a sign.” I then said, “did you ever try and contact her or even see if she was alright?” She then said, “I often did go and watch her from afar and even one day she was at the shops with you in her arms and she couldn’t grab a box of dippers, so I went to help her and that was the one and only time we ever had a conversation.” I then said, “weren’t you scared that she could have recognised you?” She then said, “I was scared but not because of that reason I was scared that I would have slipped up and told her the truth.”

I then said, “well I guess that makes sense and how long do you think it is going to take until I master my powers?” She then said, “it can take years for you to master them.” I then said, “so, does that mean I have to stay here until I can master them.” She then said, “yes but that is for yours and everyone else’s safety.” I then said, “I understand it’s just going to be hard not being able to see my dad or Leah.” She then said, “well I will give you access to use your phone so you can stay in contact with them if you like.” I then smiled and said, “thank you but I only want to see how they are doing and what they are doing.” She then said, “well in that case I have something to give to you.” She then got up and used her powers and made me an orb. I then said, “thank you.”

She then said, “when you are feeling home sick you can tell the orb what you want to see.” I then said, “that is very kind of you.” She then said, “you were raised on Earth so, it’s going to be hard for you not seeing the people you love or doing the things you like or even feeling the sun on your face.” Leo then said, “when Luna is training can I be there with her?” She then said, “yes you may since you are her soulmate you will be able to calm her down if something was to go wrong.” I then said, “what if something does go wrong?” She then said, “then we will stop for the day but don’t worry Nikolai, Xenia and I are going to be teaching you how to use your powers and, on that note, I think it is time for us to go to bed.”

Suddenly a happy looking lady came up to us and she said, “hi my name is Samphire, and I am here to show you both to your room.” Leo and I then said, “it’s nice to meet you.” Five minutes later Leo and I were in our room laying down in bed and he said, “are you ok Dimples?” I then said, “yeah I just can’t believe that I have more family growing up it was just mum and I and now look at me.” Leo then said, “you are still the same person you were before you knew about everything.” I then said, “I know I just hope dad and Leah don’t hate me.” Suddenly the orb on the bedside table lit up and dad and Leah popped up and they were both sitting on my bed and Leah said, “darling when they come back, we will be here waiting with open arms.”

Dad then said, “I know that I just hope that they are both ok and that they aren’t in trouble.” Leah then said, “this is Luna we are talking about she’s smart and maybe she went with Leo back to his hometown to be there for him.” Dad then said, “that might be right but every time I try calling her it keeps saying she out of range.” Leah then said, “you know that they might not have coverage where he’s from.” Dad then said, “that’s true I just hope she knows that we don’t hate her.” Leah then said, “of course she knows darling.” The orb then started to go back to its original colour. Leo then said, “see Dimples they don’t hate you they love you so much.” I then smiled at him and said, “thank you Speckles I love you.”
