Jill's Damn Diary

This whole thing turned into such a strange story... Anyway, it's about time I put together an almanac of the silliest and most reckless chapter of my life. Maybe it's just this obsession with gathering echoes of my past piece by piece, or maybe I just dug up my old journals and got hit by a wave of nostalgia. Either way, I felt like getting the past in order. While the latest journal is in pretty good shape, the first two are, unfortunately, a total wreck. Honestly, half of it could easily be tossed out — re-reading the daily grind of days gone by is a pretty tedious task. Besides, who cares now what I was chewing for breakfast at fifteen — overcooked eggs and cocoa — or at seventeen — coffee, a croissant, and a cigarette (while Gran's out)? So, after much soul-searching, I decided to gut the old journals and stitch them into the newer one. Of course, the chronology is a bit blurred now, but it's definitely clearer how things led from one to another, and who all these people actually are. Just in case some anonymous soul ever takes an interest in my damn diary :) Jill Greene
