Dead End
"Arghhh!"
Usually, Pitorista or Pito is a very compose man with lots of patience and composure but after 2 decades of trial and error, his research comes to a dead End.
He gasps after he found himself crouching down.He straighten his body and look around his small office.
He was dubbed as a genius in his early 20's.
Maybe that made him feel like everything can go smoothly and take on an impossible task.
To find a cause and find the cure to an illness that came to almost wipe out human existence.
Some said it was a human made illness. Some said it was God's wrath. But everything can be explain through science or so he thought.
He walks out of his office to breath some fresh air.
Looking at the world he is living now.
He felt a bit nostalgia and he suddenly shudder and start crying.
Everything, he clings on to his research and he doesnt care about anyone and anything.
He pretends that his ex-girlfriend leaving him is nothing, his Dad and Mom that got divorced, his sister that run away from home, his friends slowly stop contacting him as if they are nothing and just part of the struggle to his success.
But what happened?
What now?
His eyes turn red and he slowly turn around to his office.
Feeling down he sat on the floor.
Maybe its good that its Sunday and no one is here in the office except him.
They dont see him break down.

Camille puts the juice down on the glass table.
She is Pito's friend from highschool and since they are both hands on their own profession, being able to chat from a very lomg time didnt really bother their ties.
Camille is a Firefighter captain with two kids.
She likes them very much and despite her wife working overseas they maintain a very harmonious married life.
"What would you do now?" she asks.
There are two 7 and 5 year old girls playing around giving them a background of giggling noises.
"Give up."
Its not like its easy to say that.
He actually choke saying that.
He doesnt want to.
But the resources for this project is already spent and lately he is even using his own money. He wanted to prove that those years are not nothing. That he is right.
"That's good." Camille nods. "Dont get me wrong. But you already spend all your precious life with this. Its not worth it."
Pito hangs his head lower.
Camille shakes her head.
"You know, You are not getting younger. You should make a better use of your head. You are smart. Dont be too stubborn."
Pito bites his lower lip clenching his fist.
Camille means well.
But his pride is hurt with her words.
Still he thank her for listening to him as he walks away.
Walking in the street makes him feel like so different now.
A teenager bumps into him making him back off a bit.
"Sorry." The teenager with a wool hat said lowering his head.
Pito grabs him.
"It's okay but give my wallet back."
