CHAPTER ONE

Well today is the first day I will meet my betrothed Vincent

Yeah you got that right I am only Eight years but I have already been betrothed and to be married off when he deems fit

In my familia marriage is only nothing but a means to gain power and more money

Women are nothing but goods to be married to bring more grace to the family

I am only Eight but I have been taught the basis of how I am to behave around Vincent

I am to obey his every instruction without complaint

Vincent is not to be joked with so does father says

Vincent is sixteen and he choosed me and according to my father I should be happy such a respectable family and the most powerful family choosed me

I haven't met Vincent but so far I can say he is far more controlling than papa

He already gives me instructions and as usual I am to take it without any complaint

Mama insisted I helped in the kitchen if not papa would have her head for it

I have six brothers but I am nothing but a woman who belongs to a man and nothing else

I am home schooled have the basis of learning because Vincent insist he wants someone who is a bit educated

Mama calls me to the kitchen as father is home early and woll not be happy seeing me idle and is not doing what a woman is supposed to do

I feel like I want to explore sometimes and leave the mansion but oh well I just remembered a woman's decision, wish and desires does not matter in my world
