CHAPTER TWO

Father is home and it is almost time for the De Luca family to arrive

Mama has sent me along with some of my personal maids to get me ready and dressed up according to Vincent request

The clock ticks fast when you are anxious and prepared to face whatever awaits you, knowing you do not have a choice in the matter makes it harder

Mama does not give me force promises or tells me sweet tales of how I will be treated well by Vincent but rather tells me to hope for the best

After all in my world I am only supposed to be seeing smiling and words shut within and not speak unless necessary

The maids finally get me dressed and I wait and wait until it's time to call me down

Mama comes to call me down herself and reminds me to only smile and greet politely . It is not as if I will do otherwise

I do not want to face Father's wrath

I come down and for the first time in my life I see the man that I am Betrothed to, The man who is supposed to be my all , The man I belong to

Vincent doesn't try to hide the fact that he is impressed by my outfit

He makes a joke of how pretty I look and how I will be more pretty when I am ripe for him

I do not sit down with the men neither does mama or Mrs De Luca but rather we stand by the side of the men we are supposed to belong to

I serve Vincent properly and do not wait for him to demand before it is attended to because I do not want to be a disappointment to Father because it will not be taken likely

The De Lucas are satisfied after the dinner and Vincent requests for an alone time with me of which of course my father grants

I am then asked to take him for my room for privacy to discuss whatever he wants with me

I led Vincent into my room and the first thing he does is give me a long paper with rules of what he expects of him

I know better than to argue and so I take it and keep it safe in my drawer

Vincent spends Two hours with me before he deems he is done with knowing me , The two hours consist of various questions of which I answered without hesitation
