It was the eve of Thanksgiving, and a heavy snow started to coat the ground that morning. Under the request of Jafaar, I was called in to fix a quaint breakfast. I had planned to psyche myself out to meet Mr. Holmes’ family but cooking would have been a better distraction than any and Mrs. Holmes was happy to take Jasmine for a few hours, though I did feel a bit guilty, knowing that she had a lot to prepare for.
I decided to make the usual bacon, egg, sausage, grit, combo. I even made my fresh baked biscuits. I had learned a few weeks back that Jafaar really enjoyed them.
