Wrong Pack

Blood curdling screams could be heard from deep within the dungeon, just below the pack lands. I knew everyone above could hear the sound of the torture that was going on beneath, but not a ounce of them felt sorry for her. Not an ounce feared me, because they knew that their sweet luna would do everything to protect this pack.

Chains clanked and slammed together as Lila continued to try and struggle to get out of the chains. I smiled at her “You know if you just tell me what I want to know all of this will stop.” The look she gave me was filled with venom, sadly for her I wasn’t phased. She gritted her teeth as she looked at me “I’m not telling shit.” A wicked smile creeped across my face “that’s fine, if you thought that me just beating you was bad you have another thing coming.” The fear that crept into her eyes filled me with joy.

I looked to Knox. “Grab me a water bucket and the cattle prong.” I could hear her swallow as she looked at me. “Cattle prong?”

I looked at her pleased, “oh you’ll find out soon enough.” With that said Knox came back with a bucket of water and the cattle prong. I took it out of his hand as he handed it to me. “This bad boy is like a glorified taser with a longer reach.” I turned it on and watch the electricity flow from one end to the other. She let out a whimper. “Now, what is Mark’s plan?” She was silent and I made a tsk noise. She screamed out in pain once the cattle prong made contact with her skin. “Wanna try that again?” I released it from it’s place and she looked up at me. “He wants you dead, but not after you give him a pup. Something about his first pup being worthless and unfit to be alpha.”

A low growl came from behind me as I knew it was Theon. He looked at her “what else?” She gulped, but was trying to stay strong. “Now now.” I waved the cattle prong in front of her. “Want to answer or do you want to find out why I asked for a water bucket.” The beads of sweat rolled down her forehead. “He has about 2,000 rouge wolves under his watch and a few other shifters…” the fear rolled off her.

I patted her face. “See that wasn’t too hard now was it?” She whimpered as we release her chains from the tightly hold and she fell to the ground. Knox looked at me waiting for my next command. “We’ll discuss her actions. For now I want a 24 hour watch on her. Only the most trust guards.” With that her cell was slammed shut and Theon and I called a meeting of the elders. We had to discuss our findings and what to do with the little traitor.

I went to my room and cleaned myself up as I got into my change of clothes. Mark was going to make a fool of himself if he didn’t think I would take him down. I knew I had to make a phone call to my brother but I didn’t want to fully do that until we had a full plan in place. I stared at myself in the mirror and knew that the scared little pup was no longer here. I had accomplished so much since becoming Luna and I wasn’t going to let some crazy old wolf ruin that. I am building a legacy with my mate and I will bite the head off of anyone who got in my way.

I had gotten dressed in a dress so black that even Morticia Addams would blush over. It hug my waist as my heels clacked into place on my feet. The elder meeting were always formal attire. Something about having to look the part. I looked in the mirror at the length of the dress as it flared out at the end and I knew that I looked like a Queen ready to defend what’s hers.

I opened the door to find Theon on the other side. “My love” he held his arm out for home as I slid my hand into place. “You look most ravishing.” I smiled at his words “thank you my love, though it does feel weird to be wearing this to talk about war, but I know. Old customs” I smiled at him and he returned the smile back.

When we arrived at the hall there were four older men sitting in chairs at a round table. The oldest looked as if you just sneezed on him he’d blow away, but they were the oldest in the pack whether they were wise was a different story.

Bickering could be heard from the other side of the door as we discussed nothing but what’s to come next. There were seven of us in total at this meeting. The four elders, Damien, Theon and I. They kept trying to say how Theon and I shouldn’t be on the front line since we haven’t even given an heir yet. That they still needed us here. All of it was making me angrier and angrier by the minute until I finally snapped. “I am your f*****g luna. This pack is my life and blood. Theon and I will be on those front lines because we will not allow our pack members to die knowing we can help. Knowing we can do something!” One of them stood up and faced me head on. “You are acting like a pup trying to defend her toy. Without you two we don’t have a pack!” Theon growled out in anger and the elder stepped back. The oldest one cleared his throat “Forgive elder Thomas, Luna, we are just worried about the alpha and Luna’s safety.” I sighed and sat down “Elder Atlas. I understand. We understand, but we can’t just sit here and let our pack protect us when it’s our duty as leaders to be there and protect them.”

I smiled at elder Atlas “I do have a plan that I would like to put in place that would absolutely ruin Mark’s day.” With that we discussed my plan. Once all was settled I made my way to the dungeon and smiled at Lila who was curled up in a ball. “Listen up pup.” She startled and sat up quickly looking at me “what the he’ll do you want?” I smiled more. “You, my little decoy.” Her eyes widen.
