“Umm, Luna Julia?” The doctor interrupts my misery, and I hastily attempt to dry my tears. “I really hate to bother you while you’re experiencing so much grief, but I really must warn you that Alpha Jeff has just submitted to Alpha Gabe. And not only is the new Alpha headed this way, but he claims that since he is now Alpha of Harvest Moon, you are his contracted Luna!”
“What? But that’s not right! That contract was broken a long time ago,” I try to explain, but the doctor just ignores me after relaying the message. He begins to unhook Ross from all of the machinery now that he is dead and the machines have become useless. I suppose the doctor will probably be needing these beds soon for other wolves.
