Chapter 2

"Never be friends with that Lucas, I warn you." . . . . . Why would he warn me about that? Lucas is so kind. I mean... I barely know him but as I saw last day, he's friendly. His face... I can't explain, he's like an angel. "There will be a basketball practice later, let's go watch together!" Kath said excitedly. "I can now see that famous basketball player of this University." "Unfortunately, we have different vacancies. You guys can go without me, I'm not interested after all," I said while reading my book. "Not interested?! Oh but wait. Did you already meet that guy?" She asked. "Who's guy?" I asked. "Him," then she took off her phone and as I expected, Ethan's photo flashed on her phone screen. "You set his picture as your wallpaper?" I laugh a bit sarcastically and Cris giggle. "Yeah, what's wrong, I idolize him-" "You like him, to be exact," Cris said without hesitation. "I mean who doesn't?" Kath said. "Me," I said. She sighed. "Fine. But look at his messy hair, gorgeous brown eyes and he's pretty tall." "Sweetie you're being obsessed," I said while flipping the page of my book. "At least there's some progress," Cris sighed. "Huh? What progress," I asked curiously. "You, yes you're reading that book but at least you're interacting with us," sounds like she is so proud. "Silly." . . . . . I went back to the classroom. "Hey Seraphina," Lucas quickly approached me. "Hmm? Need something?" "Nothing, I just... You wanna go to the library and hang out?" He said while smiling at me. "Sure," I said without hesitation, I mean those are books! Library, why would I decline that invitation? "No saying back alright?" He said then sat on his chair. . . . . . After a two hours class, we have a vacant for 1 hour. "Look," he said to me and lifted his new camera. "You have a new camera?!" That's quick, I mean cameras are expensive. "Yeah, my parents own a*****e that sells gadgets," he said while trying out his new camera. "Oh, I see," I fix how I hold my books. "Hey look," he said. I look at him and he suddenly clicks it. "For memories." We walked together and went to the library. I can't stop myself from being excited... Help yourself Iris... It's just books... Just books— "It's your first time here right?" he asked. Isn't it obvious? I mean I just transferred here yesterday. "Yeah... There are a lot of books, such an amazing place," control yourself Iris, it's just a book. He noticed the book that I was holding. "Oh that book," then he points at it. "This? It's a book written by Lucy. Moonlight... Such a beautiful story," I gave it to him. He nods. "You're reading this?" he looks at the book and smells it. "Yeah? Why?" "Nothing," then he giggles. "Do you know that the guy sacrificed everything in the end just to save that girl-" "Wait you already read this?!" I said. I can't hide my emotions... Wow, he reads it too! "Yeah, it's a beautiful story. Not on my face but I like reading too you know," he said, his eyes spark. Is he a book lover like me? "We're on the same page then!" I said while smiling. "One day... Do you want to be an author?" He asked. "Hmm, I think so. I love reading, so why not make my own stories right?" He gave back my book. "You have a point. You know this school will support you for that. The school will help you to publish it," he starts walking and approaches one of the shelves. He gets a book. Wait, that cover page is familiar. "It's another book by Lucy!" I said excitedly. "What if I told you that the author of this book is studying here at Starlight University?" He said while smirking. What?!! Is he serious?? "Really?" I asked. He nods his head. "Amazing..." I wonder who she is. "She's already a famous author but she never reveals herself in public." "She's my older sister actual-" "You're older sister?!" I shouted. He covers my mouth with his hands. "Be quiet, we're in a library remember?" We're still standing near of that book shelf. What is this? I... Suddenly a guy walked past us and looked at us. It's Ethan. I stutter, so I remove Lucas' hands from me and drag him to sit. "Sorry, can you say it again?" I asked for clarification. "She's my sister, Lucy." . . . . . -End of Chapter 2-
