Chapter 60: New formed alliance

This feeling is happening again. I felt this feeling before when I was battling the Minotaur before.
I look down at my hands and saw a faint light coming out from my body. My body was lighter and immerse magical power was flowing inside my body.
What is this power exactly?
The woman recovered from her shock. Look directly at my eyes.
“Are you a contracted monster? Who is your master?”

I was silent while she was having such a puzzled expression on her face. She raised her finger pointing toward me.

But this magical power will surely help me out in this dire situation.
I get myself up and rapidly run in her direction. Carving the ground I swing my sword upward. Releasing sharp blade made of wind.
“Wind blade!”
She retreated by jumping back to avoid my skill.
“Air force! Whirlwind! Wind blade! Tornado Torrent!”
I cast four skills consecutively and made her no chance to cast her ability.
“Tempest!”
She fights back by creating tornados around her and protect her from the skills I keep throwing in her.
While she is on that she write the scribbles on the air as fast as she could.
“Lightning swift!”
To avoid her invisible blade ability. I speed up myself and made a trajectory leading behind her back. Once activated Lightning swift is basically unstoppable.
I lightning fats speed I appeared immediately behind her as I plane. I then swung my sword targeting her side.
Blood comes out from her mouth and her side was cut.
She has pushed away from my distance.
“Ability user… Magic-user… And a monster… I have never seen something like this before. I have empathy for monsters and kind-hearted that care about their friends. You care about that pink-haired girl and that bell user didn’t you.”
“Of course, I care about them. They are my friends after all! Anyone, who hurt them will definitely pay.”
The woman smirks and looks at my serious face.
“Then we're just the same… But too bad the world didn’t give us time to understand each other… Before we continue, let me ask you something…”

“Do you think all monsters should be exterminated?”
“Monsters are evil. They are basically enemies of mankind of course I want to exterminate them.”

Nagi, she gave me her name does that mean she acknowledges me as an opponent.

From above a giant spear falls breaking the ground. Standing on the top of the spear was a man wearing grey knight armor.
“Knight Ironhead…”
This knight is the knight name Ironhead.
“I was wondering what kind of noise was that, seems like we have guessed in our kingdom. A knight was killed in the factory where I hide the mother mouse. Such immerse magic flowing from your body. Are you the one who killed him?”
“Wind blade!”
I attacked the knight and charged in his direction.
“Didn’t your parents teach you to respect the elders?!”
“Flowing gust!”
Before my sword reach him. He caught the blade with his bare arms.
“There’s no way you can go away from me.”
Charging my feet with magical energy. I kick him right through his face.
I don’t want to do this but it's needed.
I let go of my hands from my sword and followed my kick with another kick to his stomach. I leap forward and charge my fist with powerful magical energy.
Punch him through to his face. Shattering his Iron-made helmet. He lost grip on my sword and I pick it back.
After receiving my magical attack. It’s a miracle that he's still standing. He looks at me with terrifying bloodshot eyes.
He pulled his sword and swing it to the ground. Accompanied with his swing the ground c***k open.
“That immense power and presence. That’s not a magical ordinary human can wield. Besides your presence is inhumane. I have never seen anything like you. This is making me feel very excited.”
Monster… Monster… Monster… I’m not a monster. These people were those kids from before and the villagers.
“I’m not a monster!”
I was raging in anger. I swing my sword and release a powerful wind blade. Cutting the building around us. The knight was stunned by what he saw.
Before he makes another move I was already in front of him. I swing my sword and severed his right hand fully.
Nagi is very shocked by the sudden turn of events.

Nagi, you should be happy right now. None of your monsters will be sacrificed for this event. For this night, I'll be applauded again as the hero!"

Nagi remained silent.
Ironhead looks around. He saw Yumi with blood gushing out on her body. With her blood-drenched appearance. Ironhead thought that she’s already dead.
Therefore, he turned his glance and walked toward the unconscious Taki.
“This one is breathing… This girl will take all the blame for the happening. She will be announced as the contractor and gonna be executed tonight in the palace house.”
Ironhead takes Taki and leaves.
Nagi makes sure that Ironhead is not there anymore.
Nagi was remaining silent and walked to Yumi. She gets a bottle full of recovery potion. She takes the cork and pours it on Yumi.
“This is one of the highest magic potions I have. Be grateful…”
Yumi’s recovered and her wounds disappeared. She gets up and seat down.
“Why did you save me? Laura is killed… My best friend is killed.”
“Don’t worry you're friend Laura is still alive.”
“What did you mean?”
“Before the Iron Hammer squashed her. I used my ability and carved open the ground. There, Laura fell in the hole I dig. She fell in the skewers and the hse was caught by the mouse. With healing potion. They already poured those recovery potions on her. I'm sorry I’m not able to save your other friends.”
“You do not answer me yet… Why did you help us?”
“In the name of freedom. I’ll explain things to you later. But first I would like to have the help of you two. In exchange, I’ll help you save your other friend.”
Nagi offered her hand.
Yumi thinks thoroughly. She still looks grumpy about what just happened but she doesn’t have much choice. She takes Nagi’s hands and followed her down to the skewers.

“Yumi!”
We run to each other and hug each other afterward.
“I’m glad your safe. I thought that you're already dead Yumi.”
“Nagi helped me out. She has something to discuss with us. Do you think she is someone we can trust?”
Judging on what just happened. I put my mind to the conclusion of trusting Nagi. But not fully... The mouse monster and her ability clearly save me from that death.
Still, this woman tries to kill me earlier. It's something I can’t just forget.
“We should accept her offer first as a truce. We will trust her for now.”
“I understand why you would not like to trust me completely. I’m truly sorry about what just happened. But after facing you in the battle. I can tell that you can defeat Knight Ironhead.”
“What is Ironhead doing after all? Why his keeping a monster in the city?”
Nagi answered my questions while we're in the skewers.
Knight Ironhead is using the monsters in the city as a threat to the civilians. He is making sure to purposely defeat a monster and show it to the citizens. Making him look heroic in their eyes. With the citizen looking up for him. People completely trust him and give him the authority to and jurisdiction in the whole city of Motorstroke.
Basically, he's using the monster for him to look good in public eyes.
Nagi is calling these monsters her friends and some of there are getting killed in the knight's hands.
“You're such a powerful adventurer why you're following someone like him.”
“It’s because he held hostage the monster I have my life debt with. The mother of the mouse monsters… Because of that, I can’t do anything. I’m powerless but together we can reveal his true colors and rescue both our friends. Save that black-haired girl and I’ll save Mother Mouse.”
Nagi said to convince us on taking her side.
We don’t have much of a choice. Since she’s offering her assistance. We should definitely take it.
“This is not what is the quest saying? Is this okay?”
Yumi said to me.
“What quest?”
After Nagi questioned. We explain to her the reason why we came to this city. Hearing the reason she became dejected.
“We don’t really need those rewards. We have plenty of savings from the battle frontier. For now, what we must do is side on the justice we believe in.”

“... We need to defeat the knight living a heroic life with lies. I‘m going to definitely kick his ass.”
I said.
After that, we go to a plan in sneaking to the palace area and defeat the false hero of this city.
