Chapter 65: Monster attack

Angel of apocalypse sounds scary.
If that was true.
I wonder why someone wants to destroy the world?
I think while walking in the park under the orange-dyed sky. Looking in my surrounding. I saw many kids running around, workers going home and others doing their own stuff.
“This place is the most peaceful place I have ever been. Second is Koyuki’s place.”
Koyuki’s place is also dangerous because its surrounded by forest. Looking back a bunch of kidnappings happened in the past in this city.
They said that the officials and knights patrolling were already replaced. I wish everything is in a great situation right now.
I can say that today is quite a great day.
I did make a new friend named Elizabeth. She is very fun and we share some interests like having Adventures of Emily book.
Before we make farewell to each other she wanted to meet me again tomorrow to play.
Maybe, It's a great chance to introduce her to other friends of mine.
“I wonder what Taki and Yuki doing right now.”
While I was walking, I didn’t notice that I already arrive at the Inn where the three of us were staying in.
In front of the Inn were Taki and Yumi already waiting for me.
“Where did you go, Laura?”
“Just wandering around…”
“Did the happening last time still affecting you?”
“Not anymore, I’m sad but I can’t do anything about it. How bout you Taki, did you transfer the monsters to a safe area?”
“Yup, Master Kayll took care of it. The mouse monster is currently taking care of a secret facility. It’s a secret she didn’t even want to tell me.”
Taki replied and made a grumpy face.
“How about you Yumi where did you go?”
“I got a normal quest in finding some lost cats. It's good that I manage to find lots of them.”
That explains the scratches I’m seeing in Yumi’s face and clothes.
She looks fine about it so I guess it's fine.
Taki sniffed and followed the foul scene she’s smelling. It goes to Yumi’s body.
“What is that smell?! You stick!”
“You're the one to talk You also smell bad.”
“But you're on a different level!”
Taki and Yumi started fighting again.
Seeing them act like this gives me some peace of mind.
That means the situation is not that bad.
“Today is quite tiring, lets go to a public bath and have a shower I find a great public bath earlier. It's newly made and kids have discounts.”
I suggested.
Taki and Yumi look at each other as they both go and pulling each other's cheeks. They both nodded and just agreed.

We then relaxed in the bathhouse. There is not a lot of people around us.
Dipping my tired body in this hot water makes me feel refreshed in a pleasurable state.
“I feel like melting.”
“When Yumi! What are you doing running around and sliding! It's dangerous!”
“Taki is such a joy killer! If your too serious you're going to get old without knowing it!”
“I’m going to get old fast?”
With Yumi’s response. Taki got anxious and put her hands on her face.
But that was quite unexpected to Yumi. I thought she can only say violent things and stuff.
Tomorrow will be another fun day. I’m going to introduce Elizabeth to Taki and Yumi. Elizabeth is a good girl I think they will become great friends.
Taki takes a dip in the hot water. Followed by Yumi who jumps to the bath n***d. Our face was red and flustered seeing Yumi’s fully n***d body.
Yumi jumps on the water creating a huge wave of water enough for it to cover our faces.
It's not just her white skin that we saw when she jumps.
I don’t want to say it through. Taki is being red for a moment and seemingly taking time to recover from that sight she just saw.
The night keeps going deeper and deeper. After the bath, we go back to the Inn to have dinner and goes to our rented room to rest.
Without us knowing we all fell asleep because we are all exhausted.

The next day.
“So pretty!”
“She looks like a princess. I saw someone with such pretty looking eyes.”
Taki and Yumi were stunned by Elizabeth’s appearance. Elizabeth seems happy with their compliments and shakes their hands.
“My name is Elizabeth nice meeting both of you. Laura tells a story about the two of you. I hope we come to understand each other.”
Elizabeth said and her mood changes. From cheerful to worrisome.
I guess, she is worried about her ability.
“Don't worry about it Elizabeth, I already told them about your mind-reading ability. They both said they're cool with it.”
“That’s right, they're nothing to worry about. I’m not thinking anything bad after all.”
Said Yumi.
“Peaking in my mind feels a little bit weird, but I don’t have any Ill intent like this pink-haired idiot.”
Taki said and then tilted her head. In few moments of thinking, she then comes to int decision of accepting Elizabeth's hands.
“What did you say?”
“It’s nothing!”
Yumi and Taki started their little fight again.
Elizabeth made a small smile and laugh.
“Hahahaha… Like Laura said both of you are fun to be with. I’m really happy being with three of you.”
After that, we play and introduce Elizabeth to Koyome, Belle, and Kaoru. We also introduced the sweet shop of Kaoru. Eating sweets together and having fun.
Doing much stuff and having fun.
I feel nice and my heart was at ease. I felt like I don’t have any problem. My problem with Mayu was also gone while having fun with them.
The sun is setting and it's time for Elizabeth to go.
In the same spot where we met earlier in front of the fountain.
“I’ll be going home tomorrow afternoon. I guess that’s the last time we’re meeting each other.”
Elizabeth said with sad eyes.
“Don’t say that! We’re going to see each other again. Maybe not tomorrow or the next day. But I’m sure we’ll be seeing each other again.”
Yumi said whose being emotional and crying.
Taki is the same.
Without noticing my eyes are also doing the same. Shedding tears in front of my friend.
“Let's meet tomorrow at 9:00 AM here. I have something to give for the four of us.”
Elizabeth presented us her pretty smile and then turned her back. As she walked away from the streets. The three of us look at her until her silhouette was unseen.
Back in the Inn.
“Laura, you wanted to go to Central city right? The train is already fixed. I guess, we can go now.”
Taki said.
I shook my head and smiled.
“I guess, I don’t want to go there for now. Well, my childhood friend is probably there. If I go there. She might attack me again. The main reason I wanted to go there is to meet her. I already met her and confirm that she was still. Alive. Going there will be pointless I think.”
“I see… Then what are you planning to do?”
“I’m going to the end of this world. To find my answers and to know the truth. I’m going to travel the world.”
“I see, then I’ll be supporting you, Laura.”
“Me too! Me too!”
My happy that I’m blessed with great friends.
Mother where ever you are. I guess I can do things fine. Being outside Rum town was scary at first. But now that I have come to live outside and learn many things. I believe in myself to achieve my dream. If I told this in front of you. I bet you're going to be angry. That’s for sure. But it is what I wanted to do and I don’t have a slight regret on it.
I hope tomorrow is a better day.

The next day has come. Morning 9:00 AM in Everfloria city.
Adventurers and Knight were in panic.
The same with the day the Rum town was attacked.
A dark hole appeared in the sky of Everfloria city. From the hole, monsters come falling and destroying the city.
Shaking in fear… I was reminded of that day.
“W-Why do these monsters come inside the city?”
“Everyone goes to adventurer’s guild to evacuate. The city is under attack by monsters! I repeat! Everyone goes to adventurers guild to evacuate. The city is under attack by monsters!”
“Hey, three kids it's dangerous here go to adventurers guild and leave this to adventurers.”
A knight approached us and told us to evacuate. Meanwhile, turning my sight behind the knight I noticed a maid who looks very worried.
“Sir knight did you saw a little girl with blonde and blue crystal-like eyes She is 4 foot and 10 inches tall.”
With her description. One appearance goes on my mind.
Elizabeth… Elizabeth is in danger.
“She said she’s going to find an important rare four clover for her friends. She leaves the hotel early this morning.”
“Don’t tell me she’s referring to Elizabeth?”
Yumi muttered.
“But the clovers can only be found near the gate area outside of the city. That means Elizabeth is outside of the city right now!”
Taki said.
Without hesitation. The three of us rapidly run and goes outside the city.
“Laura you can move faster right... I think you should go. We’re going to follow you."
I nodded. I grip my sword and activated my ability to increase my moving speed.
“Lightning swift!”
