Damon stood by the door after Anna had slammed it.
He clenched his fist hard. The muscles in his jaw kept ticking.
“ Anna, open the door.” He commanded.
Anna heard it and paused.
“ What's his deal this time?” She frowned.
She opened the door and found Damon standing incredibly still. His head was faced to the ground.
His knuckles were madly white. He raised his head slowly to meet her eyes.
“ Just to remind you, I own this house and I own you.”
He ran his hand through his hair and scanned her before walking back to his room.
Anna stood by the door, the words he said playing on his mind.
“ All because of a useless contract…Tsk.”
She scoffed.
She closed her door and laid on her bed.
“. You weren't even in the list of people I wanted to get married to. I had to end my relationship because of this contract.”
“ Not that the relationship was that rosy.” She rolled her eyes.
“ But still, you should be happy seeing me in your house not complaining.” She pouted.
She rolled on the bed but was interrupted by the loud sound of something breaking.
She stared at the door for some seconds before going out to check.
She saw a maid outside Damon's room picking up pieces of broken plates. Anna unconsciously walked towards her —not to help her.
She looked into Damon's room. It was a total mess. Broken glasses littered the ground.
His sheets were disorganized in the worst way.
But he was there.
Seated on the bed with his hands in his hair, he turned to look towards the door and saw Anna.
Her eyes were a little wide as she looked at him. He got up from the bed and walked towards her.
“ You shouldn't be here.” He said, as he pushed a stray strand of hair behind her ear.
“ You want to kill someone? The maids are shaken.” Anna said.
Damon didn't even look at the maids.
“ You deflect a lot.” He said calmly. His hands still played with Anna's hair.
She shot a look.
“ What are you trying to say?”
“ Tsk.”
She didn't want to ask him if he got angry because she knew she was going to laugh.
Before she could say anything, Damon's mom who came out said that Damon had been suffering from insomnia for almost three years.
Anna’s gaze soften subconsciously.
“ Have you gone to see a doctor?” She asked tilting her head back so she could meet his eyes.
“ My wife is a doctor.” Damon smiled and patted her head.
Anna glared at him.
“ So you haven't seen a doctor since then?...That’s when we got married right? Three years ago.”
Her eyes widened in understanding.
“ Are you trying to say that I'm giving you sleepless nights?”
She was ready to lash out now.
“ You stress me a lot so….” Damon put his hand in his pockets and walked slowly down the passage.
Anna's nostrils flared.
“ You're the one stressing me. I pray you have nightmares at night.” She said and was about to enter her room.
“ I already have nightmares.” Damon spoke calmly.
Anna paused and watched him go down the stairs.
“ I should be a pastor or something!! My prayers were answered?
