Chapter Twenty EightThey awoke in unison the next morning. Kiera was facing away from Jack and he was nestled behind her. His arm was draped around her waist and her hand held on to his wrist. They didn't try to move. Kiera was worried that things would turn awkward again and she just wanted to enjoy the safe, warm feeling that being in his arms gave her. Impulsively she stroked his wrist and then let her hand trail softly up his forearm. She held her breath as she did so, unsure if he would ask her to stop, but he didn't.
