Tha forgotten path

313 Words
Lily, armed with the Spirit’s warning and the witch’s guidance, set out to find the source of the curse. The witch, her face pale and drawn, watched her go, her eyes filled with a mixture of hope and fear. "Be careful, child," the witch whispered. "The darkness is strong, and the spirits are restless. But you are strong, too. You have the power to break the curse." Lily nodded, her heart pounding in her chest. She knew that the journey ahead would be fraught with danger, but she was determined to succeed. She had to free the spirits and bring peace back to the Whispering Woods. The witch gave her a small pouch filled with magical herbs and a map that she had drawn herself. The map showed a winding path through the woods, leading to a hidden grove that the witch had never dared to enter. "This path is forgotten," the witch said. "It leads to a place where the witch's power was strongest. But it is also a place where the darkness is thickest." Lily took the pouch and the map, her fingers trembling slightly. She knew that the path ahead would be dangerous, but she was determined to find the source of the curse. She followed the path, its winding course leading her deeper into the woods. The trees grew denser, the air colder, and the shadows seemed to press in on her, whispering secrets she couldn't understand. She felt a strange sense of unease, as if she was being watched. The woods seemed to be alive, its trees reaching out to her with skeletal fingers, its shadows dancing around her with a sinister grace. Lily pressed on, her heart pounding in her chest. She knew that she was close to the source of the curse, but she also knew that she was walking into a place of great danger.
