A beautiful face with a devil’s skills Elizabeth’s POV: Political Marriage - an act of treaty to sealed a royal agreement. ___________________ Elizabeth's POV: I stared at the huge window in front of me. Observing and appreciating the weather. The door to my chambers swung open, lady Kenya came in with Lady Adel who was carrying a huge box. "My lady, good morning." Lady Adel said. Her hair was neatly combed. "Good morning, Lady Kenya and Lady Adel. You're both early and I am not of nobility." I said. I rose from my bed and sat at the edge. "But, you will be the Lady of Trentoi, Your grace." Lady Adel insist. "I know. But, I'm not really used to this kind customary. Where I have a title and styles that I've never even thought I would want before." I huff. "My lady, you should get used to it. Because you will not just be a Lady of Trentoi anytime soon, but you will also be a Queen once you wed Prince Daemon." Lady Adel gave me courteous smile and pulled me from my bed. "The Queen told us to assist you. You'll be having a breakfast with the Royal Family." Lady kenya smiled at sweetly while arranging my bed. She has dark wavy hair that stays above her waist. I have never been used with the company of a highborn ladies. I heard some stories that highborn ladies were difficult to be a company. Especially, when you are a lowborn. But, Lady Kenya and Lady Adel made it easy for me. They taught me a lot of things no lowborn has knowledge of. Like how to curtsy with grace and at the same time with submissive gesture. They have also taught me the ethics in table when you're dining with the Royal Family. I could tell that they are trying their best to educate me. So, I wouldn't embarrassed myself in the court. Lady Kenya scrubs my back with gentleness while Lady Adel washed my hair. I never thought I would have this kind of luxury. After I bath, they let me wore a custard yellow off shoulder dress that hugs every inch of my waist and breast with a heavy and huge skirt. They let just dry my hair. Lady Kenya was behind me, combing my hair. She peeked at me through the mirror. "Sometimes, I wonder how can such a beautiful girl like yourself would come from a lowborn family." She said, eyes suspicious. Her words hurts me more than it should have flattered me. "Why do you say that?" I asked her. "For I have never encountered a beautiful peasant girl before. I have seen some pretty faces before, but not as beautiful as you are." She said, sincerely. Her smile meeting her eyes. "She's even more beautiful and regal than most highborn ladies that I've met. Considering, she comes from a lowborn family." Lady Adel adds. My ladies escorted me to the great hall. As we passed the servants and some nobleman and women. I could heard their whispers. Like 'The lowborn girl' or 'the girl with fire in her veins' or 'she's so beautiful'. Regardless of the negative and positive whisper that I just heard, I smiled at every person I passed by along the way. Some were shocked that I smiled at them and some are-- doesn't know how to reciprocate. When we got inside the Royal Dining rooms, The Royal Family was already seated. The King was seated in the center, on his left is the Queen and on the other are his sons- Prince Damon and Prince Dylan. And, there are some noblemen with them. When the herald announced my arrival, every heads turned to me. "Be confident." Lady Kenya whispers. So I did. I smiled. The noblemen looks at me with confusion and admire. "Is she the lowborn girl?" The blonde hair guy said. I could feel everyone's gaze on me. Everyone was looking at me. Except for the Crown Prince, whose eyes was concentrate on his hands and his jaw was clenching. My heart beat increase when the Crown Prince's ocean blue eyes was on me. The last time those eyes were looking at me, they were glaring at me. But, now. It doesn't glare at me anymore. The Crown Prince only looks at me as if I were nothing. I dipped into a low curtsey with a smile, just like how my ladies taught me. "Good morning, Your Majesties." I said. The King just nods at me, gesturing to the empty seat after the Queen's. "Good morning, Lady Elizabeth." The Queen smiled at me. I flushed. "Please, You're Majesty. Just call me Elizabeth." I said, totally embarrassed. "Elizabeth it is." She smiles at me. I like the Queen's smile, it is gentle and sweet. My hearts turned into knots as I remember my mother. I miss her so much. Across from me were the princes. Prince Dylan gave me a goofy smile. The prince has a courteous ambiance in him, with his blonde hair, blue eyes and bright smile. Unlike his brother, Prince Damon. Dark haired, pale skin, wicked lips and ocean blue eyes. Everything about him is cold, no matter how attractive he is. He and Prince Dylan has the same eyes. But, his eyes are more lighter and colder. I ate anxiously, trying not to embarrassed myself. For I have a hobbit of eating heavy meals. I wanted to act like a lady. Or at least, I wanted to act like one. "How is the court treating you?" The Kings asks. "More than I deserve, Your Majesty." I said, sincerely. It is true, that they have given me hospitality more than anyone have ever gave to me. "I'm happy to hear that, Elizabeth." The King said. "And how are your ladies treating you, so far?" The Queen asks. "They were so attentive and helpful. Thank you so much, Your Majesties" i said. I looked at Prince Daemon who was unamused, nudged Prince Dylan for saying something to him. Prince Dylan burst out laughing, but kept it down when the King glares at him. "My Lords," The King said, "what can you say about Lady Elizabeth?" The blonde hair guy who was shocked when he found out that I was a lowborn stood up. "She is beautiful and I believed that he will drive our Kingdom into victory as the foretold of the legends told us." He said. Dark brown eyes looks at me. I heard so many compliments from the King's Council. But, none of them are true. I never considered myself as somewhat strong and powerful, until that day at The Black Market. I don't really know what triggered my power that day. Lord Cedric said it was the necklace my mother gave me that has been holding back my power ever since I was born. Does she know what I'm capable of? If she does... It hurts me more than I can imagine that my own mother has lied to me. The King rose from his seat and beckoned for Prince Daemon and me to stand with him. The King gesture for us to put our hands above his. Damon's hand was above his father's, his hand was unexpectedly warm and firm to the touch. Then he clutched my hand to his, in a romantic kind of gesture. "The Council and I have blessed the union of my son and heir, Prince Damon and Lady Elizabeth, Lady of Trentoi." The King proudly said. "May this union brings us justice and victory!" The council roared. The King proudly smiled. But, Damon's was wicked and cold. The crease of his smile reached his cold blue eyes. He's so beautiful. How can he be so beautiful, yet so wicked. I had no idea that I was staring far too long until he caught me. He just smirk in an arrogant way. Our hands were still  tangling. The Queen and King stood by our side, like a happy parent that they were. "Quit staring, lowborn." He hissed thru his wicked smile. "I wasn't staring, I was  observing." I snapped at him. He clenched his jaw, and look down at me. How can he be so tall? And, how can I be so short? I touched my newly repaired ruby necklace. It has always brings me comfort just by touching it. The King said I must temporarily wear it, because I might lose control over my power again. Just three days ago when my ladies and I passed by a Crown's Guard who insulted me by saying "Our King has gone mad for marrying the lowborn b***h to Prince Damon." I wasn't aware when my hands were full of furious fire. The eyes of the guard who insulted me were shock and full of fear. My ladies were shock as well, for they never have witness the power I bear. "My lady," Lady Kenya said, her voice was full of fear. When I saw the fear in their eyes, thats when I know how scared they were. They must've thought that I'm going to do the same thing that I did at The Black Market. The King and the Princes were walking towards us, and they must have witnessed the event that I had with the guard. The King's eyes were suspicious and observant. Damon's were shocked and worried that I might burn their precious palace to the ground. And, Prince Dylan's were amused. The tears in my eyes falls down my cheek as I watched my fury fire flowing out from my hands. I realized that day, that I was afraid of my own power as they are. Lord Cedric appeared beside the King, "Control your fire, Elizabeth! Or you will kill all of us in here if you can't control your own power." Lord Cedric said. His face full of sweat out of fear. "I'm afraid, I can't." I sobbed. Prince Damon scurried towards me, eyes on me. "Listen to me," Damon stops, he took off his gloves from his left hand. He raised his hand, then a few moments later his hands starting to light up in blue and grey. Lightning. "I also have power, just like you have. But, I can control it." Seconds later, his lightning disappeared. "See? I have control over my power. And, you can too." The prince said. His voice was full of sincerity, and for a moment I forgot how arrogant he was. "Control it, or it will control you." The Prince said. I was day dreaming until Damon shook me out of my imagination. "Lowborn? Are you deaf?" He said. "I'm sorry." I cringe at my clumsiness. The King chuckle at me. "Are you ready for your day tomorrow?" He asks in a fatherly way. "I will never be ready, Your Majesty. I am so grateful." I said. I could feel the heat in my cheeks as I feel the pressure of becoming A Lady tomorrow. He chuckled again. Damon and Dylan were out of sight already. They must've gone with the King's Council. The King, Queen and I walk side by side on great hall. "No one will be ready, Elizabeth. But, you will have to." The Queen advised with a smile hanging on her lips. "Tomorrow will be a special day for you, Dear. You must do your duty for yourself, if not, at least for your Family. Imagine the life that they will have if you're a Duchess and someday, A Queen." The King said. He knew very well that I will do everything for my family. No matter how angry I am at my mother. My tears were starting pool in my eyes. I smiled at them, letting my tears fall as I cry with great joy. They have no idea how much did they just made me happy. " Thank you so much. My ladies said, that you have paid all of my family's debt." I said. The Queen shooks her head, nudges me gently. "Oh! Its nothing, dear." By that, I fell on my knees in front of them. I cried and cried as I remember me and my families hard work so we could at least pay for a little bit for that debts. "I'm in forever in your debt." I sobbed, hard. The King helps me to stand on my feet again before I could attract any attention from the nobles. I smiles awkwardly. "Just prepare yourself for what the future brings." The King said. "But, after you have been made a Duchess. You and my sons will go to the Enchanted Academy. The masters will help you reached to your potential and will teach you to control your power." Chap
