Roxy still wanted to b***h slap the Pixie something fierce, but she had more pressing matters currently. She was barely clothed, completely confused, and not at all ready to take on the forces right outside their prison cell. She couldn’t believe she actually preferred to stay inside the inescapable room, but she would rather stay here with Donovan forever than face whatever was outside.
Yet, she couldn’t seem to get The Pixie’s final words out of her head. Her back was to Donovan as they prepared for an onslaught. Keeping her gaze searching for where the attack might come from, Roxy asked, “She wanted you to remain furious? What does that even mean?”
