Frankie got up and went downstairs to have his coffee, but not before he went through the case files again.
A lady named Sally Conker had provided the first few numbers of the plate—according to Murphy—and another witness, Phil Sugar had seen the last two numbers—supposedly. Frankie looked at the addresses and then at the map. If they were looking out the front windows, they would have surely been in position to identify the car—the question was, did they identify the car, or were they spoon-fed the information? Frankie gathered the files and went downstairs.
