Follow the Money
“It has to be the money,” Lou said to Sherri. “They all had money and too much of it.”
"But they were all gay,” Sherri said. “Maybe that has something to do with it.”
Lou raised his eyebrows and turned to Sherri. “I didn’t know you were so prejudiced, Miller. I expected more out of you.”
Sherri laughed. “Mazzetti, you’re incorrigible. Despite your enlightened views, I still think gay has something to do with it.”
“Maybe,” Lou said. “But I’d be willing to bet ten dollars to a doughnut that money is the main reason. Gay may be secondary, but money is the driver. That’s what Donovan thinks, and he convinced me.”
Sherri thought for a moment. “Okay. I’ll go with that. Who am I to argue with two wise old men?” She smiled when she said it. “So what do you suggest?”
