Chapter 1 My story 🗣️ Hi, my name is Zite, and I want to tell you my story as an adolescent. Am a girl from the family of three, me, mom and my dad. We were one big happy family, even if it was just triangle, but we never cared. Mom was a bank manager, am sure u know what that means, Exactly! She never had my time, dad was a buisness man, not just a buisness man, he's a very busy one, traveling every now and then,most time we don't even communicate for like days, infact I see my dad 3 times a year or less, sometimes i think that why they never had another Child. Now tell me what does that tell you?. Yes that am just left to grow on my own, with alot of luxuries, good meal, and a huge expensive school, is that really enough for a young growing child? It's a capital NO, u wanna know why ? Of course I will tell you. I wake up everyday to my daily routine of brush your teeth, take ur bath, prepare for school, eat breakfast and off to school, after school home infact my life is also a triangle, from home to school and back home again, don't give me that look, I do go to church on Sunday and Saturday am all alone at home with my books and phone. On a Saturday morning, I woke up feeling really bored, then a notification message popped up on my phone, it was my friend, the message had a photo screenshot with a caption "try this out", I didn't know what it was but being really bored I was eager to try it out, I went to my goggle play store I searched for the app and pop, there it was, I downloaded it, when I opened the app, I had mixed feelings if I should hate the sender or the app itself or even myself for downloading it, guess what it was, it's was a dating app. Mom warned me and even threatened to collect my phone if she finds anything silly in it, she went as far as singing my age in my ear countless times, she's always like "Zite you are 16, I got you this phone as a little relief to your boredom any silly move it will be gone and gone for good", dear mom, I don't even know what to say now, should i just delete the app or just try it out afterall she's not even free to go through my phone. That was how I downloaded the app, followed the instructions and registered as requested, then I started seeing pictures of Alot of guys, at first I wanted to ask myself if the app was for boys only and then remembered I choose the option of seeing just guys myself. Before within 30mins am already chatting with some guys, in a little while I started loving the vibes it's giving me, then instead of regretting the fact that I disobeyed my mom, I was grateful to my friend who sent me the app. I got to chat randomly with guys they were so cool and fun, though some where speaking a language I don't understand, I have a question, please what does body count means? Those are the questions alot of guys have been asking me, they were so confusing most times I used laughing emojis or ok to wave them off. The app help me Alot, it worked on my boredom, sometimes I chat till I forget I haven't eaten since morning. we are not allowed to use phones at school, so it really hurts me bad, I will be at school paying less attention and praying to hear dismissal bell sooner, funny right? Zite that usually wishes that school never dismissed. The funny part is that there's this particular guy I got From the app, that always gave me goosebumps whenever we get talking he's actually the reason I always prays that school dismissed or I never went to school at all. Sammy as he told me was really a nice guy, always wanting to know how my day went, what I ate, how I ate them, knowing my likes and dislikes, and my do's and don'ts, he really makes me laugh till my stomach hurts, there's this feeling I always get when am around him, I don't really know what the feelings are called but if that's what u guy's call love, i think i have fallen for it, like those feelings some girls always get around guys like the ones i always watch in the movies. We get talking and I learnt he leaves around the neighborhood not too far from my place, to cut the long story short we really got along. One day, dad came back from one of his trip and Mom was on her off day, I and Mom was in the kitchen making lunch, I was extremely happy, and Mom noticed that, and i think she understood the feeling, "why are you blushing young lady" she asked "uh... Um... No mom, am not" I stammered "when did my daughter turn into a stammerer " she asked again "mom its nothing " i said with a frown, we continued our Cooking, when the food was ready and i went to dress the table for lunch where my dad is already sitted waiting for the lunch to be ready. Still dressing the dining table when I heard my name,"Zite who's Sammy, he's calling you " my heart froze I turned and saw mom holding my phone up with the clearly displayed Sammy on the screen, I rushed to the phone "I need a fresh air please" i said and left "come back here young lady" i heard mom calling i stopped from a distance "Come on sweetie, maybe the hotness from the kitchen is still disturbing her, please go get me food am starving" i heard dad said then i continued going outside, gush I can't believe i just walked out on my parents, was what I thought one moment, then the next moment i was like they will understand besides its just this once, then i went to a side and received Sammy's call.
