GHOST 5.

I blinked my eyes several times to adjust to where I am. I looked outside it was dark already. I didn't even when I fell asleep,to think that I'll even wake up by noon, it's freaking dark already. The time on the wall says it's 9 PM already. I rose up from the bed yawning and stretching my limbs. My hair was a big mess, I know that I'm a messy sleeper but not this messy. I should probably start packing up if I really want to catch up with our flight tomorrow. I wondered if I should also remind Tess to start packing, she might have fallen asleep also. Walking towards my closet, I wouldn't even call that a closet though. I noticed the light from the living room. Tess must be up already. I brought out the old box mark and I had purchased. Anytime we had a trip,we always share this box, he couldn't even afford his own properties. Everything he has today was gotten by me. I sighed, I should stop remembering bad memories. We weren't even meant to be together in the first place. Now I know how dangerous it is for a woman to fall deeply in love with a guy. She'd definitely end up getting hurt. I packed most of my things into the box, I guess we'll be staying there permanently. This house's rent has been due for like six months. I hope Tess has plans on where we'd be staying. After packing my necessities, I made sure I wasn't going to leave anything behind before zipping down the box. I headed to the living room, shutting my own door. When I got to the living room, I almost passed out seeing a familiar face, sitting on the couch, uncomfortably close to Tess. Tess immediately stood up when her eyes met mine. “Um, I was going to tell you that he came but you were still sleeping.” Ignoring her, my attention was on Josh. He is definitely here to mock me. Although, I deserve it. “Why are you here, Josh?” He stood up from the sofa. “Who told you I was here for you?. I'm only here cuz Tess informed me that she'll be leaving for LA tomorrow.” I folded my hands, glaring at him. “Since when do you care about Tess?” “Since my so called ‘sister’ replaced me completely with her ex.” He chuckled. “By the way, where is he now? Oh, I forgot he's happy now with someone he truly loves” “Hey, Josh, knock it off” Tess said. But I was already tearing up. He was right, he was damn right. I replaced him and he has every right to be mad at me. I saw the look on his face soften when he saw me crying. “I didn't mean it like that, Aven… I'm sorry.” “You're right.” I said, sobbing. “And I'm sorry for replacing you with that loser, I couldn't…” “Hey.” Josh said, walking towards me. He wrapped his hands around me, pulling me to his chest. “I'm sorry for being a jerk right now. You were clearly hurt.” That is Josh. I can't believe I abandoned him, running to Mark. Josh is all I have left. Our Mom died when he turned eighteen in a car accident. We didn't even know who our father was, Mom only told us that he never existed. I hugged Josh back. “I'm sorry, Josh. I'm really sorry.” “It's okay.” He said, caressing my back. “I was actually here because I missed you.” I knew it. I know him better than anyone. He lifted my head up. “I really have something important to do right now. Call me when you reach LA tomorrow.” I straightened up. “You just got here, ain't you staying for dinner?” He shook his head. “No thanks. And I've been here for quite a while though.” “Josh, stay for dinner. At least this time.” This time, Tess said from behind me. He looked at her. “I'd love to, but this is urgent.”. He turned to me. “I promise to visit LA when I get the chance to. And if I ever find mark, I'll definitely make him pay for what he did to you.” That earned a smile from me. Typical. He glanced at Tess, then at me. Before leaving. I left out a huge sigh. At least I don't have to hold his guilt in me anymore. ★★★★ It was 7:00 am. We were already at the airport. Registered and in few minutes, we were inside the plane. This is it. A new start from here. No Mark, no guys, no love. I'd be hundred percent focused on my life this time. I really learned a big lesson from Mark. I wonder how he's doing though. It wouldn't take long for him to suck his girly chick dry. When he's done with her he'll definitely throw her aside. Like he did with me. ugrr, he's not even worthy to even occupy my mind right now. Besides, the trip was taking longer than expected but we finally landed. My legs were numb from all the sitting. “Tess, Tess. We're here. Wake up.” I tapped her lightly. She stared awake with a smile on her face. “Finally.” We both got down from the plane, the airport was a bit crowded today. Going towards the reception area. A private jet also landed. Hmm, I've always dreamt of going in one of those. Tess was busy signing in when I saw this group of men in black. Like in the movies. And then, a familiar face. You've got to be kidding me. “Tess, Tess, Tess” I slapped her repeatedly on her hand. “What?” She half screamed frustratedly. “Kai, Kai, Kai, Kai.” I couldn't form any other words. My head was blank. “He is here.”
