Kai Kai Kai.”
Tess turned to his direction with mouth wide open. “That…that is Kai Salvador.”
“Yes, come on Tess.” I said, without thinking. I ran towards his direction but Tess held my hand stopping me.
“What are you doing?”
I blinked turning to her, I was breathing impatiently. “Just come on.”
I pulled my hand out of her grip, going after the so called ‘Kai Salvador’ .
Tess followed suit, leaving our luggages with the security guard there.
I sighted Kai and his bodyguards entering a limo. It looked almost like the one we made out in. Without thinking I ran to the nearby taxi.
“Please follow that limo”
The taxi driver looked confused at first but shrugged anyway. Tess finally caught up to me breathing heavily like she had ran a marathon.
“What in the hell do you think you're doing, Aven?”
I slided into the taxi without hesitation. I looked up at Tess who has her arms folded lightly in front of her.
“Come on Tess,trust me.”
She glared at me. “I'm not getting in till you tell me what you're up to.”
I looked through the window, the limo was moving now. “Come on, Tess, there's no time. I'll just tell you on the way”
She sighed and entered the taxi. The driver started the engine immediately, driving out of the airport's parking lot.
Tess turned to me immediately. “Don't tell me you're going to confront him about that night. We don't even know if it's actually him.”
I looked at her then back at the road. “I'm pretty sure it's him. If it's not then why was he in my memory of that night?”
“So? What if you really slept with him?” She suddenly said. “Are you going to barge in his house and be like ‘Hi I was wondering if you were the one I f**ked in a limo some days ago?’ imagine how that conversation would turn out.”
She does have a point. What am I going to say to him? I don't know what he's like, I've never talked to him before, I'm not just going to ask him about a crazy night we spent together. But I really want to know if I really had s*x with him that day.
I sighed. “This might be my only chance of finding out who I spent that night with.”
“So what? It's just a one night stand, you could just get over it.” Tees said. “And plus, he has a reputation for being rude, he could sue us, Aven.”
The limo finally stopped at a gigantic gate. My breath hitched. “It's too late now for that.”
Tess buried her face in her palm. “You've got to be kidding me.”
This is it. I hurriedly came out when I saw the gigantic gate automatically opened.
“Wait wait, hey please wait.”
Three hefty bodyguards in black, came out stopping me. “What do you want?” They asked.
“I just want to speak to Mr Salvador. Please,it wouldn't take long.” I said desperately as I heard Tessa's footsteps behind me.
“What do you want? Please get out, we're being nice now.” one of the bodyguards said.
Tess sighed, “come on Aven, let's just go, we'll figure out something later.” She whispered behind me.
But I didn't budge. It's either I get an answer or I'm not leaving here.
I turned back to the men.
“Please, I'm begging you it's really urgent.”
“Is it business related? Do you have an appointment with him?” The less hefty man among them said.
“Not really, but I know him…”
“Aven, c'mon let's go, this is embarrassing…you can just…”
“What's going on here?” Everything else stopped by the hearing of that voice. My heart skipped a bit. Kai Salvador was now out of the limo. He looked even more attractive than in the TV. What am I even saying?
“It's these ladies. They claim that they know you.”
I became scared when he's grey eyes landed on me. It was really intimidating, I suddenly feel how could LA is.
I suddenly gained the energy to move forward. With all the self courage left in me, I gulped. “Um… I…um, you might not remember or whatever but…I think we spent a night together…” I didn't even know when that came out.
“Oh my God, just kill me.” Tess said from behind me.
Kai only raised a brow, confusion evident on his face. The bodyguards looked at themselves nervously. I shouldn't have said it that way.
Kai suddenly chuckled, snapping out from my thoughts. “Wow, and let me guess… now you're pregnant with my child?”
“What? No…”
“Do you hear how pathetic you sound?” He said walking towards me, with hands in his pocket. “Even whores don't throw themselves at men this way.”
Oh my God, did he just compared me to a w***e? Who the f**k does he think he is ?
He smirked, seeing the look on my face. “You didn't have to make up a whole lie just to get my attention.”
“Your attention is useless to me and I'm not making anything up. Deep down you know the truth, you took advantage of me that night.” I was furious now, breathing heavily like a hungry lion.
The bodyguards scoffed, looking at each other from time to time. Perhaps they didn't believe that their magnificent young master would do that.
Tessa tugged on my shirt when she saw the angry look on kai's face. “Aven, maybe we should just go, he's not worth your time.”
But it was too late. Kai was already in front of me. If I was furious before,it wasn't compared to how furious he is now.
“Choose your choice of words wisely.” He said through clenched teeth. “Don't say what you'll end up regretting later.”
“Why? Because it's true?”
He immediately, wrapped his fingers round my neck, choking me. I was finding it hard to breathe but I wasn't going to succumb to him. He started the rude game.
Tessa hurriedly tried to release his grip. But with one swift movement,he tossed her aside, making her land on her butt. I felt blood rushing to my face. Trying to break free from him, cuz now I feel low of oxygen.
Then one of the bodyguards moved forward. “Sir, if you hurt her, it'll be on tomorrow's headlines. She's not worth it.”
With that, his grip tightened even more. “I'm not someone you can mess with.”
With that he threw me on the floor too. My eyes were already teary as I gasped for air with desperation. Everything was blurry. But I saw him get in the limo and drove inside. The gates shutting down.
I glanced at Tess, she looked at me with pity all over her face before standing up. “Come on Aven. Let's go.”
But I didn't move. I was here thinking I had the best s*x of my life, not knowing that it's with a psychopath like him. What gentleman hurts a lady. I think he was making it clear that he was no gentleman. Great.
