After what felt like forever, but was likely no more than an hour, Blake's eyes fluttered open. He looked groggy, out of focus. He didn't know where he was. I could see the panic on his face as he looked around, but suddenly, he relaxed, and looked over at me. My scent must have calmed him. "Hey," he said, his voice hoarse. He sounded dehydrated. "Hey," I forced a smile. "How are you feeling?" "Like I got hit by a truck," he admitted, pushing himself into a sitting position. He extended his hand twoards me, clearly wanting me to take it. My heart lurched, but the only thing I could do was slighly shake my head. "I can't. If I heal you, the effects of the posion might be too much for my system to handle all at once and kill me."
