I rubbed Blake's back as he sobbed. I don't know how long we sat like that before he set his father's body down on the ground of the office. His face was red. His eyes were red and puffy. My heart twisted into knots as I helped him to his feet. "We have to tell the Pack," he whispered, leaning on me for support. I nodded, anxiety making me nearly shake. As soon as I walked out there, everyone would be able to tell. Accepting the Alpha title meant that I would have a stronger aura, and it often changed wolves' scent to something more earthy, regardless of what their scent had been like before. Blake pressed a kiss to the top of my head, his eyes squeezed shut. My wolf was whining in the back of my head, wishing that there was something, anything, she could do to help make him feel better.
