The CEO's Chosen Bride

Margaret was fidgeting with her fingers as she patiently waited for maid of honor to come get her so she can finally walk down the aisle to the man she loves, a smile made it's way to her lips remembering that it was only a few months ago that she had met the man. The door opened to the room and without looking back, still admiring her wedding gown Margaret asked "do you think he'll like the dress? or maybe it's a bit too plain? what do you think Jules?". Her dress was quite elegant and making her look sophisticated and graceful , it was simple but looked like it was just made specifically for her. When she couldn't get a reply from her best friend, she turned around only to find her friend with a tear stained face and some tears still threatening to fall. It was evident that her friend had been crying for some time now, "what's wrong?" She asked her friend as she walked towards her, fear already working it's way through her. Hoping it was not what she was thinking, "why are you crying Julianne? What happened?" her voice was nearly inaudible as her throat started to clog up with fear gripping her. "He's not coming Maggie" Julianne said in between sobs, crying on behalf of her friend, feeling betrayed and hurt as she was the one who set the two up and now Tyler was no where to be seen. "If this is one of your silly pranks it's not funny Jules and Tyler better not be filming this so you both can post and see who gets more likes on t****k" the young lady tried to look for her fiance behind the curtains and checked outside the door but found nothing. Her friend on the other hand shook her head and continued crying, it then dawned on her that this was was really happening and not a joke as she thought it was. She could not feel her knees as she fell to the ground in shock, "why would he do something like this? Did I do something wrong? or maybe he grew tired of me?" she asked in one go. "When I called him, he didn't pick up. but when I called his other line, his friend picked up and said they were on their way to his hometown and said he's too busy if I want to talk to him I should make an appointment and maybe after some months he'll be free. That's how he cut the line". Julianne said to her friend who was now crying to no ends, she looked broken and shattered, her make-up was ruined, her lipstick had smudged and her hair a mess. "Am so sorry Maggie, I never would have thought this would happen, Tyler just didn't seem like he would do something like this" She said kneeling down to hug her friend. Margaret cried till she had no more strength left, "how could he do this to me? was this all some type of joke to him" she cried hysterically. There in her wedding dress broken, betrayed and shattered everything seemed to be against her, first her mother tells her she's not her biological mother weeks back and her step father tries to r**e her and calls a her bastard's child of a home wrecker. Everything was never going well in her life and Tyler was the only one who was like a ray of sunlight in her life but it turns out just like everyone else he too was just like everyone else in her life. He was just a liar, like her mother or the woman she thought was her mother. It appeared life was hell bent on making it impossible for her to be happy, So she accepted life as it was, bitter and unfair.
