“She should have listened to her dad.” Solana thought, as she kept running in the woods with a rogue chasing her behind.
Despite being the Alpha’s daughter, she was quite meticulous and adventurous and her dad had warned her for the umptheenth time to behave in a lady-like manner.
She slowed down to catch her breath since she noticed that the rogue was far behind her. She wiped her sweat with her hand that was filled with mud due to her falling.
She heard the leaves behind her move so she stood in a fighting stance.
“Come and fight me and stop being a b***h” she shouted, looking in the direction of the leaf.
“Such a feisty little thing” the rogue said, stepping out of the leaf, making Solana’s heart skip a beat.
She was not a bad fighter, but looking at how huge the rogue was she knew she was going to die and she had not shifted because she was not even close to eighteen, so it would be difficult for her.
“Hey! Watch your mouth, I can beat the hell out of you. Don’t think about it because I am small. I can’t do it”
Yeah that’s true she was just 5’3.
She couldn’t continue as the rogue swung his foot to her abdomen and she fell.
“Ahh!” She groaned in pain and tried to get up but she couldn’t.
He freaking broke her ribs!!!
He bent down to her face and slowly raised his hand up to remove the strands of hair on her face and her eyes shined in relief as she felt her dagger at the back of her pocket.
Jake puts a dagger in her clothes whenever she goes out and she has warned him never to do it again, but it seems like it would be helpful.
She reminded herself to give him a kiss if she gets home alive.
She drew out the dagger and slashed his face, causing him to move backwards. She punched his face and slashed his legs and he fell to his knees.
“f**k!” The rogue shouted in pain and she heard a familiar howl, so she turned around. Due to her distraction, she couldn’t hear the rogue's clothes ripping, but when she heard bones cracking she looked in his direction.
It was too late!
The rogue transformed completely and pounced on her. She tried so hard to push him off but he sank his teeth to her waist and she shouted in pain and blacked out.
Later that day…
Solana grunted in pain and slowly opened her eyes and her mother quickly rushed to her side.
“Baby are you okay? You got us so worried” her mother said, helping her sit up.
She looked around and she was back in her pack but her eyes met her dad’s cold eyes and she bent her face down immediately.
“Dad I am really sorry, I just wanted to see what it looked like_ _ owww!!!” She couldn’t complete her sentence and shouted in pain, causing her dad to rush to her side.
“What’s wrong?!” Her mum asked her dad but Solana felt so weak and she could feel her sweat rolling down her face.
“Nothing much Alpha, she is still recovering so it’s normal for her to feel the pain in her body”, the pack doctor explained to Solana’s father, Hawthorne.
He bowed down and excused himself out of the room, leaving Solana and her parents in the room.
“You know you have to be careful there are soul shifters lingering around. Do you want your soul to be exchanged with an old woman’s own?” Solana’s mother tried to scare her but she smiled.
“Well, if you guys agree on training me with the pack warriors, then I will definitely take those f*****g soul shifters down.”
“Language!” Her dad scolded her and she mumbled sorry.
“I have pack duties to take care of so sweetheart, please look after her” Hawthorne said to wife and left the room.
Her mum went to bed and sat down beside her. She forgot about the dagger so she quickly put her hand on her leg to check if it was still there.
“Are you looking for this?” Her mum said smugly, lifting the dagger in her hand.
“I know you have told me not to carry this around anymore, but please don’t tell dad or he will be mad at me and it was Jack who put it there” Solana said, pouting, and, of course, her mum fell for it again.
“Okay I won’t let your dad know about it but this dagger saved your life, so don’t ever go out alone again.”
“Okay mum. Now can I remove this thing from my hand? It’s making me feel uneasy” she pointed to the iv connected to her vein and her mum rolled her eyes.
“You had better keep quiet. You could have been killed if we hadn't come in time”. Her mum said with her eyes filling up with tears and Solana started feeling bad.
“I am really sorry mummy. I promise I won’t go out alone again”, Solana said with a hidden smirk which her mum didn’t notice.
“Okay let me midlink Jack that you are safe, he has been feeling guilty since we found you in a bad condition”. Her mum said and was deep in thought.
After a while, Jack barged in and threw his arms around Solana. Her mum left them and went to do her Luna duties
“Are you okay? The dagger helped, right? I knew it. You should be forever grateful to me” he rambled, and Solana laughed, holding his hand to stop him from talking any further.
“I am fine, as you can see and that’s all thanks to your dagger. I owe you a peck, '' Solana said and pecked his cheeks lightly.
“Why are your cheeks so red?” She teased him and missed the look of love swimming in his eyes.
