Always leaving-never staying

It all started with my mother and then my brother then this mystery man. How are they all connected? I wish I could answer that but I can't. My own family ripped in half and only my father knows the answer. My family has never been good at obeying orders, we were always the ones giving them never the other way round. This is how we have all been brought up; the power to us and is was undivided. Well all that changed on that fateful night, but then I wouldn't be here. Or would I?  My family was reliable and we had the trust of our people until they realized what we did to get here, the lies we spun. We lost some of the trust when my mother became the victim of the Mafia kidnaps, all of our people told that they would never be affected by it and their own leader became one. One by one they dropped like flies from the nest to fly away and never come back.  It was around a week since my mother had been kidnapped when I heard rustling and muffled shouting from downstairs. I crept as silently as I could only to see some tattered old looking man taking my brother away with him. HE most have heard me as he let out an evil cackle before saying the words that still haunt me, "A person for a person. You will know what I mean." School, well anywhere for that matter then freaked me out. It had been another couple of weeks when I saw that man again on my way back from school with a big, heavy and very oddly shaped bin bag. He dumped it in a secluded bush area near to the border so nobody could see it even if they looked. I peered down at what he had put down there and I just broke. All my hope shattered into a million different pieces in a matter of seconds. "Like I said before. A person for a person. A life for a life. You can take revenge because 2 of your lives have gone. I have lost 1. Have fun with it Charlotte." "How could you. They were innocent people. What did my brother ever do to you? What did my mother ever do to you. Tell me! Actually I don't want to hear you pathetic excuses.You are one evil piece of sh*t. I will make you a promise that when you finally die I will rejoice and throw parties. That is my finally promise." Before I could break down again i ran home to shatter the hopes of my beloved father. "Father I have something to tell you." Just like was expected he broke and made attempt to hide how he felt. While I left to him to grieve alone I went upstairs to start packing our belongings as we were no longer in charge with our failure.  This is change nobody wants and I wont let anybody in again. Another promise that will be my last. Promises on the run are to much. Its our live now; this or death.
