“Here’s what we know. The side effects are only on people that have the pack bond and are mated to a nonwolf in the pack. Whoever did this is strong enough to block out Ruthven’s clairvoyance. Only two people have ever been that strong Ruthven’s mate, Melody and her brother. They both were killed centuries ago. This however could be their first reincarnation.”
Axelia nodded. “There has to be someone though who has access to both those mate bonds. I know this is a large pack, but Tala, Taika could you look to see if someone’s mate is missing or is not currently here? They would be a werewolf mated to a werewolf.”
They nodded moving into action. “I will begin working through my magic to see, if I can overcome this or at least find out what it is.”
Declan wrapped an arm around Axelia. “I’ll need to call some of my siblings. See if any of the deities have information. I’ll see if we can get Jasmine here.”
Lord Byron added, “I’ll call the other Lords and Ladies.”
Emilia was doing testing. “Mav, can you ask one of the pack doctor’s to prep the X-ray machine? I need to see if anything odd has popped up.”
He nodded and headed out of the room. Orpheus sat in the corner. He looked deep in thought. Elliot, Dawn’s brother came in.
“Elliot. Did you get the kiss settled?”
He looked toward Orpheus, “yes, thank you for the space.”
“How fast can you run?”
Elliot turned to Emilia. “As a natural born vampire, we are one of the fast creatures in the world. Speeding bullet fast. Why?”
Maverick walked back in with Theo’s mate. “Where do the pack borders stop?”
“Umm, it’s a large area. You would have to go closer South. Near our pack land.”
She paused in thought. “I want to see if this is space related. If there is a certain radius.”
Elliot nodded, “I will run Dawn to your pack lands.”
“I will let Beta Gabriel and beta Luna Samantha know of your arrival. This way you can rest before heading back.”
He left to tell the others the plan. Victoria stayed behind to watch the kiss. Lord Byron offered to take Alarick along with them, but they didn’t want to remove the Alpha and Luna at the same time. They knew the pack members still conscious would feel the distance. With that Elliot ran without stopping. It took him an hour. He was lucky he fed before leaving, but would need to once more before heading back.
“Master Elliot. Welcome. I will lead you to the pack house for you both to rest.”
Sam looks to Gabriel, “I will make the contact to let them know of his arrival.”
Elliot laid back on a couch separate to his sister. “Now we wait.”

“We found a name. There were only a handful of Pack members missing from the event. A handful of students out at college and two business men.”
“Well who do you think it is?”
Taika turned to Sloane. “The students all are attending school regularly. So that rules them out.”
“One of the business men are really high up. He was on the news last night and had sent us an update to let us know why he wasn’t attending.” Tala continued.
Violet looks up from the file, “so it’s this Leum?”
“What’s his full name?” Sloane grabbed the file. Leum A. Sagas.”
Taika looked over his alpha’s shoulder, “says he has been out on business for months. This should of been flagged earlier.”
“Who is his mate?” Violet looks to Tala.
“An omega named Lonnie. Should we fill in King Maverick and link her to the office?” Tala looked to Sloane.
“Let’s get to the bottom of this.”

“Elliot, Elliot wake up!”
Elliot blinked even though he was a day walker the light still burned his eyes. He noted he needed to be in the sun more. He was still groggy from the run.
“Beta Sam, what do I owe the pleasure?”
She looked panicked, “your sister, Luna Dawn. She is screaming and breaking things. She is too strong for even us Betas.”
He quickly raced to his sister’s scent. “Dawn, sis calm down!”
She turned to him with deep red eyes, they were puffy. Dawn ran to her brother and pinned him to the wall. His eyes flashed red and he grabbed at her wrist.
“s**t, Dawn. Let me go, psycho.”
She held his gaze, “where is Alarick? Where am I? What happened at the ceremony?”
“Let me down, so I can tell you.”
She pushed him to the ground with force and began pacing. The mate bond must have been driving her crazy, because Dawn was normally the calm one in the family. Often made fun of by Elliot for being formal all the time.
“Something happened at the ceremony. Alarick is still there… unconscious. It happened after the pack bond fully closed. I brought you here to see if the pack land was keeping you down. Looks like it was.”
“I have to go back.”
Elliot gave her a stunned look. “Did you not hear me? The pack bond knocked you out. You will be no help back there.”
“Elliot, I can’t feel him. I shouldn’t have been brought here without him.” She began pacing again, “oh god, what if something happens to him. We need to move the pack.”
