THE SIGNAL
Episode 1 — The Night the Sky Opened

It turned black.
Every star disappeared at once. The moon vanished, and every light across the city went out.
For twelve seconds, the entire world was silent.
Radios stopped working. Aircraft lost communication. Phones showed no signal. Even military satellites went completely dark.
Then a silver line appeared across the sky.
It stretched from one horizon to the other.
Nobody knew what it was.
Then it opened.
Something came through.

Nyra frowned.
Another message appeared.
THEY ARE STILL LISTENING.
She looked around the empty room.
Then her computer displayed a final message:
DO NOT TRUST THE SKY.
Suddenly, something moved beneath the station.
Nyra froze.
The lights went out.
And somewhere in the darkness, something whispered her name.
“Nyra…”
