Bernard   “You two,” he glared at Royal and Scout. Royal was the easier of the two brothers to deal with, but Scout was the smarter one. Where Royal excelled in numerous crafts—including wards and a master of multiple languages—Scout was still a mastermind with spells and herbs. But Royal, he was the one to watch out for. Diabolical on his good days, downright pure evil on his worst.    He traded his soul to a demon at one point for stronger, darker power. He certainly got it.    “You better know what the hell went wrong back there.” Scout applied an herb to Bernard’s throat.
