"W-what is happening to me?!" I looked up at him, eyes full of tears. His figure was blurred thanks to them.

"You will see soon enough," he said, walking towards me.

The next thing I know, there was a cloth drapped over my face and my head started feeling hazy and my eyes became droppy, I couldn't keep them open anymore. I soon stopped fighting to stay awake and completely gave into the darkness.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Madlyn Thomas, the towns mystery girl. When she was only a year old she was left on the door step of a couple in the middle of the night with no clothes or anything to explain why she was abandoned. She wasn't bothered much by it because she knew, somehow, deep down that there was a very good reason why she was left alone with people who were not even related to her in the slightest.

On the night of her 18th birthday, her friends Emma and Olivia, decided to take her out to a club.

However, little did they know that a certain event that happens that night could change Madlyn's life forever... if she lets it.

"Ugh, I can't believe that idiotic man spilled his drink on me! Now I'm all sticky and smell like booze! This is so gross!" I was walking down the street, stumbling over the cobblestone pathway in the stilettos that Olivia made me wear. I was trying to wipe most of the beer that was spilled on me when I was fighting my way out of the club, when I heard this large crash coming from the alleyway to my left. I know I probably should have run in the opposite direction, but something was pulling me towards the sound. I'm pretty sure it wasn't curiosity or adrenaline, but it was something. As I rounded the corner, I swear I saw two men with wings holding some kind of sword and fighting, but as soon as one of the men spotted me, they vanished and it felt like a cloud was settling over my brain and my eyes started drooping and all I remember after that is a strange symbol on the ally wall and then complete and utter darkness. ---------------------------------------------------- 5 Hours Earlier "Aw, come on Maddy! It's your 18th! You have to celebrate it!" Emma exclaimed, showing how desperate she is for me to say yes. She's the party girl of this group, not me. I have never seen what's so fun with jumping up and down to the same song all night while the air is so full with the smell of alcohol that you could get drunk on the smell itself. "I never said that I don't want to celebrate it, I just don't want to sit in a crowded place where I can't breathe any clean air," I said, shrugging my shoulders. "If you can find a place that all of us will like and that I'll be able to breathe in, then sure, let's go, but other than those requirements, nope, sorry." As soon as I finished talking, Olivia formed this grin which was scarily close to Pennywise. "What..." I asked, concern lacing my voice. "I know just the place, but just before you can ask where, it's a surprise. I'll tell Emma though, so she can help me plan your outfit. Just know that we will be at your place to help you get ready at 5, don't make any last minute plans with anyone. You are going with us, no one else. Got it?" I slowly nodded and hung up. I love face time calls with those two, they are always either wearing something weird or doing something weird and it's always entertaining to see. I glanced at the clock and see that it was 3:30, I had an hour and a half before they got here. I decided to get up and have a shower and get into clothes that were easy to slip out of for when Olivia and Emma come over and treat me like a Barbie doll in their game of dress-up. Don't get me wrong, we get along perfectly, even though people wonder how we are best friends. We all have different tastes and sometimes it shows when we need to come to an agreement, mainly about choosing outfits and how to do out make-up. When it comes to making decisions like that together, it's like pulling teeth as we argue for hours and hours debating on which one we all would like, most of the time however we decide to go in whatever we like, not what the others do and then that's, that. "Hello! Best friends incoming!" I heard Ollie scream from the living room. "In the room!" I shout back, getting off my bed so that I can unlock the door for them. As soon as they come in, Em goes straight to my cupboard, ready to try and choose an outfit for me to wear tonight. "Oh, come on guys, do we really have to go out? You guys are already here, can't we just sit and watch movies while perving over the actors?" I said in a whiny voice.  "No way, hozay. We are doing this. It's your 18th, it's kind of important you know?" Ollie says, rolling her eyes. "Ollie, come here. Look at this monstrosity! There's no way that we'll be able to come up with an outfit for her in what she has in here!" As she walks to my cupboard, I hear Ollie gasping in horror. "Oh, come on guys, my choice of clothing is not that bad," I walk towards them and roll my eyes. "Not that bad? Do you see a single dress in here? No! Do you see a single pair of heels in here? No! What about a decent pair of skinny jeans that do not have a stain in them? No! So do not say its 'not that bad'! Luckily, Ollie wears the same size clothes as you and her and I brought an outfit for you to wear. Tonight, we are not letting you wear what you want. I am not letting you walk into that club looking like a prude!"  Em walks towards one of the bags they brought along, which I assume is holding the outfit they chose for me to wear tonight. I see her pull out a piece of black material as well as a pair of black ballet slippers. "Here, go to the bathroom and change, I'm sure this will look great on you." Em shoves the items into my arms and pushes me into the bathroom and slams the door shut. "I am not letting you out of that bathroom until you are dressed!" "Fine! Okay! Geeze!" I start changing into the small black dress that they have given me to wear. This dress was a spaghetti strap dress, it was not form fitting. It was tight by the chest area which is a given due to the fact that I have a bigger chest than Olivia, but from the waist down it loosens and flows out, down to just above my knees. The dress was just a plain one with no decorations whatsoever but it was still beautiful, surprisingly enough, considering it wasn't my clothes. I slipped on the ballet slippers and looked into the mirror. I looked stunning, even without them doing any make-up touches at all. I surprisingly loved how I looked in this dress. "Alright! I'm done!" I shouted to Emma so she can open the door. As I stepped outside the bathroom I heard a collective amount of gasps. When I looked up I saw Em, Ollie, my mom, my dad and my older brother, all standing there staring at me. "Oh, you look so beautiful honey!" My mom said, her eyes started tearing up. "Mom, it's just me in a dress. It's not like I'm getting  married. Please calm down."  "I know, it's just that ever since you were little you hated dresses, you would always fight with me every time I tried to get you to wear one, and now to see you wear one.. It's like a proud mama moment!" She said hugging me tightly.
