Kapitulo 11 "Hey," Ghad said, and I turned to face him. Sheram dozed out, and I don't want to wake him up. I sighed when he sat down next to me. "Kumusta na siya?" I retorted, "He's fine." "Good," he said, sighing. I know he's worried about his brother, and I want to comfort him. I lean on his broad shoulder and hug his neck. He leaned in for a kiss on the head. It was painful to see that your brother was sick. "He'll be okay," I told him, and he hugged my waist. "Don't worry about him." He nodded. "I know." Later that day, I was busy preparing my things for an out-of-town vacation. It's time to rest my mind, body, and soul. Although I can't assure you that I can rest my mind knowing he's always on my mind. I shook my head. I took my concealer and pressed it on below my eyes. I didn't get enough sleep last night, thinking about Sheram and how to forget about him. We have no label, so I should not be worried about it. Because I have nothing to say about it. "Cuz..." Ghadsmer's voice from behind the door paused me. "Ghad!" I called out. He knocked twice. "Open the door, real quick." I settled the concealer on the table and scurried to the door. I stowed the knob out, and he smirked at my response. "You're going to break the knob," he grinned. "By the way, I have something to tell you. My heart thumped. "W-what is it?" He looked at me. Seriously, I shook my head as I was busy brushing my hair with my hand. He stared at me for a second before he opened his mouth. "The doctor called me and said that Sheram was getting better," he said, almost aloud, and my eyes widened. "Really?" I asked, and he nodded. I jumped through him, and he fished my waistline and laughed. "He's getting any better..." he added, smirking. "And he'll be back here soon." I fixed myself and stood straight. Damn. What was that? Oh, come on. You can't blame me, Ghadmer. I have missed a lot of Sheram. He's been my knight since I came here, while Ghadmer is busy with his business. "Thank God. He's really good," he said as he nudged one of his fingers against the ceiling. "I cannot attest that I'd be okay if he didn't perform this miracle." I smiled. "Outlandish, doesn't it?" He smirked. I half smiled. "By the way, mauna na ako." He leaned in and kissed me on the brow. Enjoy your vacation. I know you deserve the rest." I nodded slightly. "I will." And with that, he stormed out of the room and I went back to my vicinity. I looked at myself in the mirror; she was looking at me like she was saying that I should not worry about him. Can I not get worried about him? I twinkled my eyes and pushed the brush off my face. Carrying my holdall in my hand, I looked up at the car motioning toward me. If I'm not mistaken, it was him—it was his car. But instead of stopping, he just glanced at the house and sped away from my sight. I sighed and waited for a taxi. While nibbling my lips, my phone rang, and I fished it in my hand. I then answered the call. It was her. My best friend. "Jesus! Why are you not answering my calls?" She snarled, and I smiled. "I was worried about you." I exhaled. "Come on, Luina. I'm just busy. That's all. Why?" "Ghaston." I heard her call him and someone cut her off. "Hey, how's it going? " Such a dork. "I'm fine. Why did you call? " "We have something to tell you." My brow creased. "What is it?" I heard them chatting indistinctly. What on earth would they want to say? What if... I shook my head. It's just, what if? "Are you two together?" I asked. "Nope," Luina said, and Ghaston exhaled. "Not yet. He's courting me now. " My eyes widened. "Damn! Are you serious?" Luina laughed. "You're aware." I didn't know how to react, but I smiled at the thought of them with each other. I know he would take care of her. Ghaston confessed his feelings for me before, but I ended what was between us. If clarification is required, please let me know. "Taxi," I shouted while listening to Luina's. "Wait, hold a sec..." The cab stopped next to me, and I walked through my feet. I clambered in and sighed. "Okay, continue," I said, and I heard Ghaston chuckle. "So, like I've said, Ghaston has dated me for almost a month, and we have been seeing each other for almost a week," she said, and I gasped. "Why did you not tell me?" I scolded her, and she smirked. "Did you ask me?" she asked rhetorically. I sighed. "No..." "Then, how would you know?" she said, as if she was saying that I'm a miss-informant. I inhaled. "Okay, fine. I have missed the news. " In a moment, the chauffeur asked me, "Saan po tayo, ma'am?" The chauffeur was wearing a blue polo shirt. His masculine and good-looking guy. "To the airport," I replied, and he nodded. He clipped his mouth as the wheel crawled onto the freeway. "Yes, the Victorian," I suggested, and she exhaled. "Come on, it'll suit you. I swear." "Damn, fine," she said, against her will. "I'll call you later," I said before hanging up the phone. I looked into the front. "Where are we now?" "Malapit na po tayo sa airport, ma'am," he said genuinely. I nodded, taking my sunglasses in hand, placing them properly on my eyes. Sighing, I remember him. What is he doing right now? I shook the thoughts in my brain. You should not be concerned about him. He's okay. My subconscious shouts back at me. As we stopped at the airport, I climbed out of the car. I went in his direction as I saw him lifting my baggage. He closed the bunk and looked at me. His face has an round shape, his nose is beyond narrow, and he has high cheekbones. "Thank you," I said, swiveling around and walking into the airport. The sound of the intercom thundered through the whole room. I settled down on the bench, waiting for my board. When my series of digits was called, I walked past the man and went straight to the boarding area. As I was busy fixing the angle of my glass, a man sat next to me. He was wearing a glass too, but what I really admired about him was the way he moved his lips. I looked away. "Are you waiting for your plane number?" he asked formally. I bobbed my head. "Yeah." "Cool," he said as he leaned back against the backrest, his hands on his back near his neck. "It would never be easy to be summoned by someone." I looked at him, speculatively. He turned to me, extending his close to white backhand. "Cannon," he said, and I second thought if I got his hand or not. He gestured with his brows and looked up at me, smiling like a jelly bear. I took his hand. "F-Fereine." "Nice to meet you, Fereine," he said, taking his hand in his and slipping it into his pocket. "I have been busy smiling at my problems, and it has seemed surprising, hasn't it?" I hung onto him. He said, "I'm sorry for this melodrama. I just can't determine the reason behind my imperfections." Imperfections? I gazed out at him. His lips were thin, afraid to be seen; his nose had been his best asset. But what I liked about his features was his oval-shaped face. Rare. Self-assured enough to be noticed. Angled in accordance with the skin's pigmentations. "It's okay," I said, trying to ease the tension between us. "We need them for our growth. That's why I care for them instead. " He nodded. He was about to say something when the intercom said something that made him stand up. He smiled at me and again he laid his hand on me and I accepted it. "Thank you for your time," he said, and I just half-smiled. "No worries. Enjoy your day," I said, in nowhere. He took out his hand, burying it in his jeans pocket. "I will. Thanks again." I gazed out at him, and he was pulling his luggage in his hand. I breathed in and settled down on the bench. When my plane number was called, I got up and walked into the area. "Ticket," the girl said to the man before me. When I was close to her, she said: "Ticket, please." I showed her the ticket. She nodded and gestured for me to get onto the plane. I've been thinking about something lately, and I have noticed a woman in my sight. His description was fit for that gal. I turned to her and remembered the way my cousin described the girl he had seen. "Her hair was almost gray," Sheram's voice said in my head. "Her nose was straight and pointy. Her hair flowed naturally when she moved, indicating that she had a clever demeanor." My gaze became intense. This was the girl he was looking for. I continue to hear his voice in my head. "She had downturned lips but was thin enough to suck..." I gasped. God, she was the girl! I was about to go back in her direction when someone nudged me. "You're blocking the way!" a man spilled out in a harsh tone, impatient. I glanced at the girl for the last time, but she's not there. I heaved a sigh and walked into the plane. Walking to the aisle, someone bumped into me. That man. He walked past me, and I just continued walking until I found my seat. "Excuse me," said a thick British accent in my ear. I blinked open my eyes and search the voice. Until I saw a girl sitting next to me. "Oh, hey! Can I sit in there?" she asked me, and I was skeptical. I don't know what to say. "S-sit?" I pulled myself up and looked up at her. "W-what did you mean?" She smiled at me. "Can we switch seats?" My eyes wondered. "H-here?" I gestured a finger at my place and she nodded. I blinked twice, sighing. "Do you mean, you want to switch seats with me?" She nodded. "Absolutely." I looked at the girl. She was wearing a cap as the pink-hued hoodie enveloped her body. I flicked my tongue and nodded. I saw how her face changed. She seemed frantic. "S-sure,..." I said, and we switched seats. She was looking outside the window as I hauled my sight back to my purse. I scoffed. "Where are you from? She turned to me. "Hmm?" I smiled, patiently. "Where do you live?" "Liverpool," she replied, and I nodded. Bringing my sight back to my purse, when my phone rang, I took it in my hand and answered the call. It's Ghaston. I pressed the phone to my ear. "Hello, mate?" "What's up?" he greeted, almost alarmed. "I just want to ask you. What's the best present to give to a... girl? " I smirked. "Now I believe that Luina was telling the truth." He laughed softly. "Yeah, it's almost been a month." "Okay," I said, and started thinking about the present that he could give to my best friend. "What about the necklace? She loves jewelry." He cussed through the line. "I should've known that. Thanks. Bye." "'Bye," I said, and he hung up the call. I turned to the girl who was beyond a decade and eight. "Excuse me, can I have a word with you?" She's still looking outside. The plane had not taken off yet. She turned to me. I gave her a sweet smile. "Yes? Sure," she said, and waited for me to speak out. I looked at her cap. "Is that your cap?" She shook her head. "No." I clipped my mouth. "My bad. Sorry for the inconvenience. " She beamed. "No, it's okay..." "Vina Marie..." someone called her name, and she looked up at the voice. "Dad. Yes?" she said, and as I looked at the man, I was shocked. I look back at the girl, and she's smiling at her father. "Don't disturb the people around here..." His voice sunk when he looked at me. "Fereine?" "Dazron..." I called out his name, almost in a whisper. His sight went back to the girl. "What do you need?" he asked calmly. "Just chips," she said in her thick British accent. He nodded and leaned over to kiss his daughter on the brow. "Don't disturb your seatmate here." She nodded. "Can I get my phone?" Dazron smirked. "Sneaky Princess. Fine, I'll give it back to you with the chips." She smiled widely. "Oh, good God. Thank you so much, dad." He pinched her cheek. "Right, I'll be back, okay? Don't disturb." She nodded, sighing. "How many times would you remind me of that, dad?" He eyed her. "Just to be sure." She hugged her father. "Can you please hurry the chips?" Dazron nodded, smirking. "Fine, fine. Daddy will bring the chips." "Okay, see you later," she said, and winked at her father. Dazron kissed her head and walked past me. I c****d my head and turned round to see him walking. He stopped a few meters away, leaning into the seat. I managed to get a glimpse of the woman, but I couldn't see her face because it was too tight. I shoved back, sighing. She looked at me, confused. I looked at her and she smiled slightly. "Is he your father?" "Yeah." Dazron. What was your age? He seemed young, but I couldn't take it out of it. He's cute and he even manages to move as if he was unaware that almost everyone was looking at his demeanor. After a few minutes of sitting in the seat, he went back with the fries. He handed the food and opened the phone for the girl. "Turn off every thirty minutes, okay?" he said authoritatively. "My chips!" she said cheerfully and leaned in to kiss his cheeks. "Thanks dad. You're the best as ever. " "Oh, sweetie..." he said, looking at me. "It's nice to see you again, Fereine." "Me too..." is all I can say. "I didn't think that you already had a child." He grinned slightly. "Our first born. She has a younger sister. I nodded, smiling. "I'm happy that you're happy now. You still seem like a teenager. Nothing's changed." He smiled at me. "My face may look like a baby, but I'm too old to measure." "Not so..." I said and he exhaled smiling. "You still look young." He looked at me. "Nice meeting you again. I do hope everything will be fixed afterward the pain." I nodded. "Uh. Thanks. Nice meeting you, too." He smiled at me, leaning in to kiss his daughter on the head. "Your chips are enough to filled your stomach." "Daddy, you're a d**k!" she said and Dazron chuckled. "These are too small. I want more." Dazron shook his head. "No, you'll get diseases if you wish." She winced. "Ah! Daddy you're a tease. I thought you would give me many." He smiled at his daughter, pressing his lips on her head. "Mommy will be mad if you'll against our will." She folded her arms below her chest. "Fine. I love you." "I love you, too, sweetie," and he then looked on the side and she kissed her father's cheek. "Aw. Such a sweet gesture from my sweet princess." "You're bluffing me, daddy," she said with an accent. Dazron gave her a sight and walked out. I can't removed my smile while staring at the girl. She was really like her father but her eyes seemed to be inherited from her mother's. Ha! What a news. I blinked my eyes again and a smile form a line.
