Chapter Five - The Marriage The wedding party walked along Front St towards the chapel. Emily, in her white dress, with her father, walked in front, Albert walked behind them next to Emily’s sister, Sarah, who was a bridesmaid. Behind them walked George, Albert’s best man, with Emily’s mother and followed by her sisters and friends as bridesmaids. They had decorated the chapel with lights and flowers, and played the wedding march on the piano. Emily’s father led her down the aisle, clutching her bouquet. Albert offered Mr Jones an apologetic smile as he left his daughter next to Albert and the reverend.
